Oh sweetie - sorry to hear you had such a bad day. OMG. And what timing with our "unwanted guests" too.

Fortunately it sounds like stuff that can be fixed with time. At least your dad's store gives a backup plan and maybe you will end up with something better.

As for the exh - he is an exh for a reason - and that does not go away in time. So stick to your guns and get strong on your own.

I am so glad you figured out the thing with countrydude and that he is sick and missing you. Good stuff! And don't worry - you will probably have this sorted when he returns. The job and money thing is temporary and you are on it.

<<<<<< I didn't want to post this last night with all the craziness>>>>>> Did I miss something last night on the board?

Sorry you're having a hard time. Try not to be too hard on yourself though and hey, we all have to have crying time. I don't drive though....I cry in the shower! lol

A question for you: Out of all the jobs you have ever had in your whole adult life, what job was it that you really enjoyed the most?

If you are not ready for a relationship than you are not ready but don't think you are not deserving of one or that you are not worthy...We are all worth the effort!

Thanks, I know money issues are temporary, I just really dislike feeling at a loss.

Out of all my jobs I would have to say the marketing and business development in the mortgage lending.

I know what you mean--who wants to be a hinderance BUT all of those things that happened were beyond your control at the time!

<<<>>>>> You go girl!

I'm sure something will come along in the meantime. The reason I asked you the question was because I was asking myself the same thing last year, but for a different reason. I've been looking at my future. I'm 44 and have worked for a solo practicing lawyer for 17 years. He is now 64. Although I don't look for him to retire (he will probably die at his desk!) you never know. I started thinking if something were to happen would I even want to stay in the "legal biz". I've done this for 17 years and my answer was no. So last year I asked myself the question I asked of you. My answer was retail. I would love to have my own store. Last year I took a pt.time job at a shoe store just for this reason, so I could dip my toes back into retail. And I loved it!

My plans got side tracked last month because of my daughter, but I'm not going to give them up totally. So when I read your posts I thought this question might be helpful but it sounds like you are on the right track!
