Well, the demo is done and the rebuilding has begun. We started Saturday. We took sledgehammer to the tub, and vanity cabinet--I even swung the first blows myself. We put the old toliet in dd's bathroom and that's all done. The mess of the demo is cleaned up and I've put the new flooring in, high quality vinyl tiles. Dh has done the sweating of the pipe fittings for the new tub/shower faucet so with the exception of the handles that have to wait until after the shower walls are up we're done with that which is the hardest part, and we're set to put in the new tub tonight. We're also doing painting tonight, the part above where the shower walls will be before we put the tub in and the rest after the tub is in. Probably will set the toliet too since it doesn't go up against the wall. Dh will just be gingerly in placing it so as not to ding the wet paint. Then it's just the shower walls (we're using the pre-formed shower walls that adhere to the wall) and the vanity cabinet/sink. That'll be easy though. I'm just so impressed that it's going so fast. Before we started I was hearing horror stories about if took less than two or three months it would be impressive. We were budgeting 3 weeks and it looks like we'll have it done in less than a week. Woohoo! And then I have my nice, deep, jetted tub and a great faucet--not to mention cosmetically sooooo much more appealing. Heck it already looks tons better just to have the new tile in. And I'm so thankful for dh's expertise and for not being too scared to try. Oh and I'm such a geek. We had to open the tub box last night so dh could get the measurements for the curb leveling (the wood the rim of the new tub rests on) and I had to sit in the new tub just to get a feel for it LOL. Gonna be nice though, it's so deep that I'll be able to get just about to my shoulders in the water without even having to scrunch down.

YAY, Andrea! I'm so thrilled it's going so well!

I had to laugh picturing you laying in your bathtub while still partially in its box! TOO FUNNY!

Does dd just love her pretty pink potty??? LOL

Yep. And funny thing about it, because of the lighting in her bathroom (and probably the fact that you're walking into it from a lavendar and pink room) it actually looks good. She's pretty excited about the new tub though too.
