Great pix and news - thanks for sharing with us!! I am so happy for you - because you really deserve this Donna. And the fact that it was in your sister's back yard is just cool. I do remember all that you had been through in the past. Isn't it amazing how things can come together.

That is very big of you to be supportive to your sister and not say see I told you so. I guess in a way you were lucky that she took the hit with him and not you - although it would be better that happened to no one.

The unfortunate fact of dating and life is that there are drinkers out there and no matter how they appear to be good people and how much you love them, they have a chemical addiction that worsens in time. It does not go away if you stick your head in the sand and wish it to - and the only person who can help them is themselves. We have to be wise enough not to get slaughtered in their process. Drinking is very destructive to all involved. I hope you help your sister.

You know you are always welcome here because you were one of us and you understand our lives.

It is great that he was never married and did not have kids and could be dedicated to you and your kids. I am so happy for you and glad that you have such a good story after all the heartbreak you had to go through to get it.

How are the kids doing? Has it been hard to adjust to a new stepdad in the house - maybe you have tips for us? Did you stay in your house?
