I agree with you, at our age 9 or 10 years is no big deal.

That sounds good - it is very good that Ron shares your core value of family and I like that you can keep the house. They always say you should get a neutral house but I am not so sure about that when kids are involved - I was just reading that a step family invokes a loss at first for all parties and especially for the kids and that everyone has to keep that in mind from the beginning - that it is not like a traditional marriage where the couple is young with no kids. The stepfather can feel left out at times because the bond between the children and mom is so strong and he has to get used to being in a house full of people and not having space. And the mom loses her single mom freedom and some of the one on one time with the kids. And the kids often have to take on more strict rules and they are afraid of losing mom to someone else.

Not that these are bad but they are all things to consider and they are overcome after a few years when the family starts to operate as one again. It sounds like he has been good about spending time with them and that is very nice.

How funny that he hadn't been at a circus before - but how great that he can enjoy that with you guys. He does get a nice family without all of the work of pregnancy and breastfeeding and he even gets to skip toddlerhood. There is a lot to be said with all of that.

I wish you well as you proceed along in your new life and of course we always love to have you back here. I am not sure if you remember mbfun - she posted not long ago that she married Jerri - that they really worked through their problems and connected with their love of motorcycles and they had nice wedding photos. And firstamendment got married and had twins!! She has one daughter and he has 3 sons so now they do have a very full house. Her pictures showed that she was very happy and said she is enjoying the twins. I know you two have that in common.

I agree with Pacific. I always love hearing people's stories, especially when it has a happy ending. I also agree with Pacific's assessment of your hubby. Even though I'm a guy, I am struck on how handsome he is. Of course, the bride's beauty enhances his handsomeness.
