Well no wonder we have not heard too much from you. Girl your life has been drama!

I'm sorry about the 2nd flood and hope your back on your (dry) feet again. And your work...well busy you!!

The Facebook guy and all of that drama must have been mentally exausing. I can only imagine the emotional energy you put into that. I am truly sorry that it did not have a happy ending. I understand what you meant by sort of pushing and telling a guy into making things work. It's like leading a horse to water? And if they have reservations or resentment harboring then really you're looking at a battle already lost in so many ways. It is too bad that you can not remain friends, at least in writing and corrospondance. It is too bad that he had to resort to being a jerk to distance himself- well I guess that is his (poor) coping style.

You said it- his loss!

It's nice to hear your update. Hugs on getting through all that and still sounding so grounded and postive!

Yes- I do tend to stay positive in most things: even at the worst I know there's something worse out there happening to someone else.

I agree with PacSun and I know and understand all too well the drama of connecting with someone you knew very well from the past with my own MA drama that spilled into the holidays - only for my good fortune I was the one who rejected him and landed on my feet.

But for you it has been one thing after another - the floors, your biz and him. HUGS!!

And yes- the hardest thing we all have to do is NOTHING. You just have to have a good life and wait for the right one to come along. He has to want to do and be that of his own accord. He cannot be enticed or pleaded with - it just never works.

I think you are better off now - and you will meet someone who wants to fill the space of your partner and love you and your DS!! Just takes time.

Thanks honey- I feel a lot better about things now, and seeing him did wonders for closure... not really sure WHY, but it did.

Alison - I totally understand the relief you feel having that closure...he is a long time friend after all.
