That is a great update, Moon!!! Sounds like you are doing everything right and it is all rolling along. It is great that you had the opportunity to show your good side and that he is now calling on his own!! Keep us posted!
I'm so glad to see your post! You were leaving me on pins and needles, LOL!First, the dinner and drink sounded like a good beginning of a date. Kind of lively with the whole hibachi thing, I love it. The live music, well could have been better but at least you got a good laugh, right?
OK, now about the drama. Oh, the poor little guy who was in that situation. I am SO relieved to hear that no one got hurt. The situation he was in sounds dangerous and I hope that the EX learned her lesson about that particular "friend's" house. If EVER saw a gun out where my daughter was it would be the last time she ever set foot in that place. Did the ex want Night Golfer to do something or was she just needing to tell him?
Another thought on the bit'o'drama on your date. I have to share a little story with you about something so similar, I am kind of floored at how many similarities there are between your first dates with him and my first dates with Blue Eyes. After two, maybe three dates with Blue Eyes, I really didn't know him very well. I was at work and he called me to chat. Then he proceeds to tell me that the night before he got punched at a bowling alley and the cops came and arrested his friend. Then to clarify, he tells me why. He accidentally bumped into a young gal with his bowling bag loaded with tow bowling balls. He said excuse me but apparently he boyfriend thought he did it on purpose?? The boyfriend (25 years younger than Blue Eyes mind you) follows my guy to his truck and decks him! Hit him right in the jaw! Long story really short...Blue Eyes never hit back but he wanted to, but his friend got mad at the police for NOT arresting the little punk who hit my guy! So Blue Eyes friend got arrested (just briefly) for SPEAKING that way to the police, LOL! All of this Blue Eyes was telling me after like three dates and I was sitting there at My desk thinking....ummmm....is this guy DRAMA or what?
But nothing even remotely close to that has happened since. We laugh about it these days. He always says, he can;t believe that didn't scare me off. So, your drama with Night Golfer and his son/ex/gun does sound like something you can bond over, the conversation that followed, sounded like something that turned a scary situation into something that he could sort of confine in you about, bring you a little closer in conversation.
I do hope that the situation got resolved and the ex will never let his son anywhere near that kind of place again! How worried he must have been! By the way, in the beginning, Blue Eyes has more frequent contact and issues with the ex also but soon after we got more serious, she kinda dropped off the planet in his world except for issues with his kids.
MOON, MOON, MOON!!!

And
Hi Pac-Sun!
The funny thing about all the drama is that NG is the most laid back, mellow, no drama kind of person.
Thanks, Judy.
This not just "awesome" Pacific....it's HONKIN AWESOME!!! LOL
I gotta stop that.
Seriously, Moon, it sounds like some great times ahead with NG. He sounds like a level-headed kinda guy and a good kisser on top of that!

Ha! If you don't stop we're gonna rename you to HONKIN EMMA. Hehe!
