Thumbs up for you!! I am also intimidated by a large group... i like smaller groups like 4-5 people....

In a large group i don't know who i should be talking to and when the conversatin gets dry, i don't know how to politely move on to the next set of people.... for me, that means sometimes i stand by myself for a bit.... then i try to jump in to a group

Yay, Liz!!! Great job getting yourself out there and meeting new people! I'm pretty much a shy person, so to do that, would've taken alot of courage. Kudos to you for doing it!

I hope it just opens up more doors for you, for meeting dates as well as getting new friends to do stuff with. Who knows? Maybe you can even find some good babysitters too- if any of the people have daughters who are old enough to babysit. I know I need to get a bigger network of trustworthy sitters.

That is awesome.Did you get any phone numbers (men /women?) or agree to meet anyone or two in particular next time? If not you can slowly build on making new friends through this.

Wow - that must have been a huge group - but sounds like you did great to get out. I know that is a big step and not easy.

And that is the spirit!! Good job!!

Yes, I do need some good sitters, so that would be a good bonus.
