From my Myspace blog on November 6:

So it is these "little" moments in my life that really touch my heart and cause me to smile and/or cry.

OH God, I was worked up about it this past weekend because my hands got slapped again on Friday and could not let it go and just enjoy Cute Widow. This week I had to deliver a plan to a committee so right now I'm not great.

I'm looking at what I can do for myself to address my issue(s) for the long term. I ruled out therapy because I don't think there are a lot of good therapists out there and think that talk therapy is inefficient. I think my issues go back to my FOO (family of origin) - father authority stuff, raised in a Japanese American family where we have to please people to fit in but never really fit in, etc.

Cute Widow suggest me re-reading Carolyn Myss' book "Sacred Contracts" to help me.

My men friends all identify to one degree or another with my struggles which is comforting.

"With layoffs and joblessness on the rise these people should be happy to have jobs."

Yes, but most people don't feel that way. Until they've lost a job to cutbacks, they won't fear that it will happen to them.

Before I became a nurse I was constantly worried about layoffs because my ex-H worked in construction.

Well, some people don't know just how lucky they are.
