What is everyone doing for Vday? If you are with someone please share and if you are alone please share - this will give us all ideas.

I know I will be alone - if I have DS I will take him to dinner. And if I am alone I might just go shopping and eat in the food court of the mall. Or stay home with the puppies and work.

Valentine's Day is a Tuesday, and both Mike and I have our kids... we are probably going to hit the mall, ride the carousel, etc... or the ever-dreaded Chuck-E-Cheese... the girls love it.

The Sunday before Valentine's Day is our anniversary, but we both have kids this weekend, so we are going away the following weekend to a B&B up in the Berkshires(MA) to ski, skate, shop, and spend some QT time. Cannot wait!

Jerry and I doing Valentines night tomorrow night!

There is a Valentines dance at a downtown Minneapolis - called the Passion Pink dance--supposed to wear something pink...
Im wearing a black dress with a pink flower accent because Im not brave enough yet to wear pink...gotta few more pounds to lose ;) Jerry refuses to wear pink...so it should be interesting...

Valentines night... we are ordering "heartshaped" pizza - not sure who all will be in the house though Joe, Jared and Jill all have boyfriend/girlfriends so they may be off doing something romantic with them ! So it will be Jerry, myself and my boys...who will NEVER have girlfriends!! (lol)

MB:

Alex told me last night he wanted a girlfriend (he's 8). I told Alex that he couldn't date until he was 21!

Have fun at your dance -- it sounds great.

A BIG candle - and a card saying you are looking forward to all the nights it will bring. I might even try to be real cute and make a bow/ribbon with a pair of stockings!! And the base the candle sits on can be a romantic CD!!

At least I get to be creative for vday!! We are all living vicariously through you!!

It will be to late this year, so think of it for next year; who knows you may be married by then. Buy him a piece of the moon. I did it for my daughter Alex one year and it was the best gift I ever got her. It comes with a certificate and everything. I got it off the NASA website. I think they also have another website where you can do this. It costs like 26dollars and it is just WAY cool. I wanted to buy it for the British boyfriend years ago, but he actually was descent enough, to know

I'm not doing anything spectacular. I will have both kids, and since it's a school/worknight, it'll probably be pretty much business as usual. I will, however, make a special dinner, and my kids and I always make each other cards. I also usually send each of my two best girlfriends a card, just to let them know they are appreciated, loved, and thought of on this day... even if it isn't by a man. It's also something we do on Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc... all the holidays where it might be nice to be appreciated by someone other than the kids.

I actually have a date for Valentine's Day! It is the first time in 3 years that has happened! We had our very first date last Tuesday and it went very well. He actually SEEMS normal! Lots of things in common and we laughed our heads off. Keep your fingers crossed, because this is the first guy I have really been interested in that seems to like me too!

Wow - okay - fingers are crossed - but only on one condition - that you share DETAILS!!

Happy Valentine's Day to EVERYONE!! Whether you are spending the day with an SO you love or just the kids you love - I hope it is special for you!!

I gave Nic a card and bag of candy - let him have a lollipop while he was in the shower getting ready!! So we are off to a good day.

Last night in the store he tried to copy the TV commercial where a kid has his mom bake a cake for his gf - and then gives it to his mom - he said he wanted me to pick out something special for someone!! And then he said, do you know what I am doing!!?? Too cute!!
