Wedding dress opinions??

I talked with Jack last night and he definitely - can't talk him out of it - wants a wedding. We are going to do it next spring/summer (may or early June) and it will most likely be in my church and then at the place we are going to this weekend although that is not 100%. Seeing as it is my ...um... not my first, it seems like I shouldn't wear a real traditional dress. I was thinking a light blue one and found a couple I did like that I think are formal enough and nice enough - all for under $200. BUT I also found this one and I LOVE IT - tell me what you think. I have to tell you that it looks better on me than in this picture (seriously!) and it is on sale right now and it is one of those that is only on sale once a year. Me and Jack have the same lucky number of 11 and mutiples of it and the final price of this dress after the sale discount is 555.44! LOL. From what I have seen $500 is going to pretty much be a good price so (it isn't a secret - the link shows the price)

Anyhow - I just love it. Tell me if you think it is OK. It is covered in delicate sequins and small pearls on the lace. I would wear a LONG veil - one layer - and maybe the gloves like the girl in the pict.

Here is one of the "blue" dress I tried on - the one I like the best isn't on line and the light blue color option is way darker than IRL - and again - it looks better on me :P

(pick light blue - it has white accents)

the other blue one I like that isn't on there but is something like the last dess in the lineup called evelina which you can find on www.peterlangner.com (simple style with those long tails behind -coming down from a flip knot like this http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=brides&showid=23&page=13 but from around the bust area not hip - but has some asymetrical embroidery on the top front - it is blue with white embroidery and a white trim on top with two toned tails). I love the style of this dress because it looks like a peterlangner and love his stuff.

I might also go look at some watters&watters dresses because I like dupioni silk - here is a link to some I like:

http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=brides&page=3&showid=280 (looks gorgeous on but too traditional? probably)

http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=watters&page=25&showid=162
http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=brides&page=4&showid=313 (in blue or- http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=brides&page=4&showid=288

I hope this made sense adn you aren't overloaded! I will more than likely pick the first one I mentioned but I am not 100% yet - although I was when I tried it on.TIA for your input!

I like the first one.

$500 is a great price.

I don't think it matters that you have been married more than once. You are still young and want to be your best for now. And your dd will love this, too.

I wish you many happy memories.

Thanks, I think I am going to go with that one too :) I talked to my mom about it this morning (she is in Florida for the winter with my Dad) and she thought it sounded perfect. Not too "bridey" but elegant and regal. It really does look much better in person. Thanks again for your input ((HUG))

Laura,

I think you should choose whatever you love regardless of it being traditional or not.

Personally, I love love love the 5th one up from the bottom. I think it said pg 218. It looks so sexy, yet classy and sophisticated. I absolutely love the color too- if it flatters your skin tone. That's a good thing to remember about hue.

Let us know what you pick!
