*THE* Weekend
9
Mon, 04-18-2005 - 12:06am

I got home around noon today. P's flight left before noon, so with security and everything, we parted ways at about 10 AM.

The weekend was an unbelivable continuation of what had happened over the past few weeks by phone, IM, and e-mail.

I met P at the airport, just outside of the checkpoint. I knew her instantly. I was wearing black top to bottom, and holding a dozen red roses. We met, kissed and she just about started to cry right there. Everything was exactly as I remembered. Her kiss, her hand.

The hotel room was fabulous, I'd been there before, so I knew what to expect. A 60 foot man-made waterfall out the front, a overlooking view of the rest of the resort and the sunsets over the mountains from the balcony off the bedroom.

We arrived and checked in. I could feel her breath on me and she was a foot away. I ordered room service while she showered. She emerged from the bedroom in a stunning lavendar silk nightgown and robe, both about knee length. She was wearing the gold ankle bracelet that I had given her an hour before. We ate and talked. We talked about everything...families, kids, Ex's, divorces, us.

The first time (about an hour after dinner) was unbelievable. Not for the sex itself, but from the feeling that it wasn't something new...like we'd been making love all our lives.

The evening never ended....literally. We did not sleep but an hour or so Friday night, mostly in short catnaps. The rest of the night was spent making the most incredible love I have ever had. There was nearly constant pillow talk in between. We fell asleep just after dawn.

Saturday when we finally got up...we got out of the hotel and went to a place I know for lunch and then went to a another place and played some pool.

We got back to the hotel, made love a couple more times and decided to go out to dinner. Once we were at dinner, we both immediately wished we had order room service again. We finished dinner quickly and got back to the hotel where we continued our marathon until about midnight, when we both passed out from exhaustion.

We both awoke about 4 AM and decided to make love twice more, raising the total to 10. (She decided we should keep track Saturday morning, and commented at breakfast that she was kinda amazed that I made it that many times!) We both cried after the last time, because we knew that the next time was a long way away. We checked out, got breakfast and drove to the airport. She checked in, and we sat down and talked some more.

We kissed each other goodbye at the checkpoint entrance. I stood and watched as she walked down to the line. I could tell she was crying, and her hand cupped over her mouth. She looked back everytime the line stopped. I stayed until I could no longer see her.

Somewhere along the way through this weekend we both realized that we are indeed meant for each other. And we both vowed to not let this chance pass like the previous two have.

She plans to come back in June, after my kids are gone for the summer. Long term plans are still in the making, since there are so many things to consider and changes that might have to be made.

My legs and back are killing me, I could barely walk down the stairs this morning, and I'm dog tired. But could whip anyone right now.

And, the kids had a great time with the sitter to boot!

I'm going to go soak in the pool with the kids now.

I'm glad it was such a great weekend. Does she have children too? Is moving a possibility for you since your ex lives out of state, or would she have to move to you? I'm guessing if she doesn't have children, it's better to not uproot yours.

I am a little concerned that you are making long term plans so soon. I hope June comes soon for you and you can spent more time getting to know each other again. Will she be able to stay longer for the next visit?

OMG - No one here can ever put a label on this one!!!!!!!! It doesn't matter if it ever works or what anyone thinks or what happens. The point is that you had the weekend of a LIFETIME!! This is a better story than in ANY ROMANCE novel I have ever read.

Anything is possible and I wish you only the best!!

WOW!!

Glad you both had a great weekend. June isn't that far away.

Do you want a ribbon for each of the 10 times or would a gold medal for the whole weekend be sufficient?

A gold medal would be great, but I'd give it to P.

Wow! Sounds like you're in LOVE!

I'm glad your weekend turned out so well. Was it what you expected, or better? I think it's wonderful that you both felt that you couldn't let this chance pass up again.

"Doesn't seem so bad anymore that J. never called, does it? :)"

Truth be told...is that J. reminded me of P. But until 4 weeks ago, just as J decided to not call, I had no idea where P. was. That was when P. sent me her first e-mail.

P. evicted J. from my heart quite easily. Once I figured out who I was really in love with.

Funny how you hide from what you really want sometimes.
