Weekend fun
10
Fri, 10-05-2007 - 11:26am

OK I'm getting out there this weekend. Meeting up with some of the girls tonight (headed for a quick run first after work) for a drink and maybe a bit and we may then even head to a more happening place. We are trying some new spots and I am going to put myself out there and promise to at least flirt with one guy and hopefully give out my number. And who knows what else I will give away ;o).

I have some errands planned for tomorrow and maybe something fun, not sure yet. I'm meeting some other friends at a sports bar Sunday afternoon for football. Should be fun and there will be lots of guys there!!!

So new spots, I've suck with my exercise routine this week and have done a little better with my diet. Will hop on the scale Monday for hopefully some good news...

So what is everyone else planning for the weekend?

I'll be running away for the weekend with Hiker. We'll be eating sushi, geocaching, and going to the Texas Tech homecoming game. :-)

Oh wow - good for you!! Enjoy!!

I am now 2 weeks out from another big race. So, for me it is nonstop training. And that is all good - it gets me out in the pool and on the streets of my hometown. I might take the dogs to the dog park, too.

Tonight I'm planning on picking up the house so I don't have to spend the entire weekend doing chores.

<< If the rain holds off we will be playing 'night golf' at one of the local courses.

I've played disc golf a few times - I'm much better at the real game, though.

Wow, Moon! I can't believe the similarities in your date with this guy and my first date with my SO.

That is exactly what we did! On our first date he showed me the night disc golf course and we took a moonlit walk around the course. Then we went to dinner and a walk on the peir..then went to his place for a frink and a long conversation on the patio. 11 months later we're still going :o)

I can hear some (cautious) enthusiasm in your update. It sounds like a nice time, and some potential. There's nothing wrong with being cautious and taking it slow, I like your approach...if and when he calls you you can go out again IF your available. OK to be honest after my first date with Blue Eyes I called him the next day to say I had a nice time. Role reversal, right? But I was just feelin' it...and it felt right to call. We made plans for the next night.

My weekend was sooo nice! Friday it was his idea and sugestion to stay in. We pulled out the Led Zep albums, drank wine, danced, talked, and romanced :o) ...all night. Honestly it was so romantic. I don't need a big fuss to make me happy...just some quality time to really connect. And we did, and it felt amazing. Then on Saturday we were out and ran accross a guy who makes jewelry. He bought me a bracelette which I adore.

We just "gelled" this weekend and everything was in sync. Only one little mishap (my ex called yesterday...afternoon while I was still with Blue Eyes, my ex needed a ride and felt stranded having my daughter and a broken down car) and I helped out but I didn't let that get in the way of my great day :o)

Looking forward to your next update on Night Golfer!
