My friend who is leaving in 3 weeks and taking most of my personal items, is taking me to dinner and dancing tonight as a thank you for having been his pen pal in the war. I think that is so sweet. He said, dress up nice darlin, because it's going to be fancy tonight. LOL. OKKKKKKKKKKKK, now I have to go shopping tonight to find something nice and some shoes, because I didn't expect that from him. We always have our monthly whole in the wall chinese food and tonight he's taking me to a 4 star restaurant. YIKES. What will I wear????? . I haven't bought myself anything to wear in over a year. I deserve it though, right?
The rest of the weekend is relaxing. I am going to do nothing, but pack stuff together, do the yard and otherwise try to chill out.

Saturday it looks like I'll be cleaning and cooking and playing outside with kids. (Hmm..that sounds familiar).
Sunday ex takes the kids so I'll be able to catch up on my school work.
I sense that I don't have one of the more interesting lives on the board...but it's a peaceful one.

That sounds awesome! Have a blast. Give all the details. I so want an occasion to dress up. And girl, it's been over a year!!!! I hope you just went crazy. I swear, if you were here in Texas, we'd paint the town via the stores! Best of luck to you!!!

Gosh, my weekends are just so busy since my social calendar is over booked. Okay not really, but a girl can dream, right? Actually Saturday the kiddos and I are going out to buy new church clothes. Saturday night I have a second date with a really awesome guy. and my favorite part is church on Sunday. I have been going with my sister and have absolutely been at peace since. Okay, maybe it does sound a bit busy, but I'm so ready for it.
Oh and I have to do laundry. Yuck!

Oh wow, Cat, I am just catching up now. I will post my weekend happenings in another note.
BUT in this note I wanted to ask you how your dinner went. I would have voted on a new outfit for you - after all you have been through you definitely deserved it.
How did your evening go? Did you enjoy your dinner? Did you buy a new outfit or go shopping in your closet?
That is so nice he would take you out for a treat. And so good of you to be his pen pal in the war. Tell us more!!
Okay - my weekend was a "little" exciting!!
We left on Friday morning to go to Orlando. I took my babysitter and her boyfriend - they are an absolute blast and DS adores both of them.
Friday night we went to Downtown Disney - had dinner and a lot of fun just walking around. Great atmosphere - bands and MTV. DS loved playing in the Lego store and buying candy.
DS was on this kick to have me video him. He acted like a TV newscaster everywhere we went and it was a blast - we were all laughing so hard at him.
On Saturday, DS competed in a kids triathlon - and he took 2nd overall for all kids 7 to 10 (he is 8). He beat all of the 10 year old boys! YAHOO!! I was so proud - and I got it all on video. At one point I was running and watching him and I fell in a hole on the beach - very funny - but the camcorder stayed intact!!
Saturday after his race we went to Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. My babysitter and her boyfriend went on all of the roller coasters while DS and I explored Seussland. We enjoyed our time together so so so much. We LOVED the Cat-in-the-Hat ride and I admit getting a bit melancholy over realizing he is not going to read those books with me anymore!! And the merry-go-round there is so gorgeous - with all of the Seuss characters.
Sunday all 3 of them slept in while I braved my own triathlon. It was a tough race. 50 degrees outside and a lot of wind. I swam .9 miles, biked 25 miles of tough hills and then ran 6.25 miles. All in about 3 hours. I was wiped at the end - couldn't have gone any faster. The gang was on the finish line for me.
Now I am back home and I feel like I played the super bowl. My triathlon coach has a huge week instore for me - I guess it is to get ready for St. Croix - that race is in 4 weeks.
Okay - back to work!!
