Well I did it. I got married the last saturday in august at 4 o'clock in the afternoon outside with the sun shining and friends and family looking on and wishing us all good tidings. Any way I was single for 6 years and you ladies were awesome in listening to me whine. I will post pictures when I have some.

Oh Lisa, Congratulations! It sounds like you had a great day. And I know you and your hubby waited a long time for this. Maybe when you post your pix you can recap the story of how you met and how you had to wait a bit til you could get married for the sake of the kids.

HUGS!

Congrats! Just because you're married doesn't mean you can't stick around, though.

Good luck, and enjoy this new stage of your life.

Ok you asked for it. My hubby and I met at a party at a friend's house. It was a end of the summer party and we just hung out at the party for it was at the end of the summer. Well to say the least I drank to much and well i was not alone in the tent come morning but anyway. We started chatting on the computer and asked if he would every consider coming to where I lived which was like 2 hours away and he said when I said labor day weekend which he did and we dated long distance for 4 years. Being the mother of 3 dear daughters I was not sure where it was going and was putting off introducing him to my girls. So we had been dating like 3 months and he told me that the my girls would not scare him away so in october in 2001 he met my daughters. Not sure if he would stick around after that but he did and help me to be more of parent and teach my girls responsibility, he was there when most oldest dughter told me she was pregnant at 16, he was there for me when my youngest decided dad was a better place to live then with me, I was there for him when his son and his older girlfriend had there baby after his 19 year son ran to a different city, we have watch his oldest daughter get married so we have been through alot. Tears when I would leave to go back to my place 2 hours way and much indecision on his part but we were able to work through all of that. So last march he asked me to marry him and I said yes and we then moved out here to see if would could even live in the same house. I have now been here for a year and have been remarried for a week to the man of my dreams and it has been great and it has been a journey for both of us but we love each other more everyday and watch our grandkids grow and watch out kids learn to live life and make their own decisions. It has not been easy but it has been worth it.
