As most of you know, I have tried the OLD thing - a while ago for like 2 years and then recently for about a week. I find it too discouraging for me with my age group - I am very fit and have my life together and want the same.

But just the other day I discovered an online dating service for fit singles - it is called fitness-singles.com

So that is encouraging for me - I will keep you guys posted!!

Of course I have also been active IRL (in real life) - but nothing so far. Just fun getting out!! And that is okay, too.

Yes, I would adopt under the right circumstances. I have even thought of just adopting another child/baby as a single mom - but then decided against it for right now.

I think my closed door age would be 45 - I have a friend who just had a baby at that age - she married a guy 10 years younger - and they are all doing great. My aunt had one at that age, Madonna was in her 40s with the second and many more friends of friends have done the same.

For some reason I feel more settled and ready to be a mom and wife now than I did in my 20s and 30s - in those years all I cared about was my career, which was filled with many glorious moments - as a pastry chef. I struggled when DS was a baby because I decided to be a SAHM and giving up my job meant giving up over half of our income at the time. Additionally I had started my own biz prior to that so I worked hard to get it off the ground - I remember working all night and sleeping in my clothes!!

I have all the right things to be a mom again - patience, experience, babysitters, flexible hours, steady income, wonderful older sibling - all we need to add to the recipe is sperm -- LOL!!!!!

But of course there is the other option in my head in case I don't meet Mr. Right in time - traveling with DS and doing an ironman - so I will see what happens.

And of course keep you guys posted. You never know what tomorrow brings!

I have also thought about adopting as a single mom, probably an older child.
