Dang! AND passing up a free meal from you?! I was rooting for you on this one Rebecca. God just to experience you would be such a treat too bad for him.
So out of all this discussion about weight and your heightened awareness and how that plays into dating, has that changed how you approach dating? or your weight? or ...?
oh Rlch, Im sorry this guy didnt work out and Im sorry you had such a difficult chat with your Dad. Sometimes when I have talked to my dad in the past it has been this way too... I remember when I first met SYB and was excited about maybe us going out ( this is before I asked him out) I told Dad about how I kept running into him and having the best encounters and I hardly ever meet anyone - it was the fist person I had clicked with in the longest time. My Dad totally shot me down and told me that I shouldnt get my hopes up because any man who wanted to date me would have asked already and he thought I was setting myself up for "another disappointment" Dads dont always know what they are talking about. Even if men ARE visual creatures you have no way of knowing really why this guy didnt want to pursue things with you. He might have hidden baggage somewhere and realized that with you it might be real and he wasnt ready for that, you know? you are a beautiful woman and at any weight that is true I am sure.... Also, with Dads who are past 60 which mine is I think they have this old fashioned idea still that we cant be happy or settled until we find a partner. They are waiting for that moment to be happy for you when really we can be doing great all on our own. I honestly think this is a generational thing. BIG HUGS - the right person is out there for you, I just know it!!
OMG - msmsavannah - this is post of the day - no one could write it better.
"Oh and stress is a hindrance to weight loss so more visits with LB to help alleviate the stress." - that one had me cracking up. Maybe we can all sign up with LB?
rlch -hugs girl - sorry that he didn't write more or take you up on your offer - he sounded good - but if he doesn't appreciate the good you bring to the table - when then he is not that good!

I wish I could just pop by with a wonderful case of a fine selection of reds and commiserate with you.
