Well, we closed on the house

I wish we had a "relieved" icon. Or a "sick green face" one at least.

We got there and the title person told us we needed to have $17000.00 at closing. We had a cashier's check for $1500.00. That's all we had ever been told to bring. Anyway, it was an error and we needed to go get the money out of the bank that was wired to us plus an extra $100.00 and we'd be fine. No problem. But it was enough to put me in a state of panic and the panic-to-relief in such a short time caused me to go throw up in the bathroom at the title office.

I'm okay now. We've signed the papers and all is alright in the world today. It's raining, but other than that, we have a house. We should be moving this weekend.

I'm very tired and I want to sleep, but I need to go to the grocery store and pay one more bill and I'll be free until 2:45 when Dylan gets out of school. Then I'll need to grab him and he'll stay occupied enough to himself so I can rest. He's sweet about it.

I need some pampering. I'd ask Shane to rub my feet and my back, but he's been thru Hell too and we both need a vacation. Painting rooms in the new place will be therapeutic. I can't wait.

Did you need seventeen THOUSAND or seventeen HUNDRED???? Wondering how you just popped over to the bank for thousands of dollars??? :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Very happy for you. And I understand why you're worn out. Take some time to mentally and physically RELAX now Mel.

And Shane can rub your feet. Don't you DARE worry about him being as stressed as you. You've been through as much (and more, as you were the one home and responsible for running around and getting all the crappy paperwork in hand. I don't care how hard he works, it's still not as hard as that) AND YOU ARE DOING IT PREGNANT.

Get your foot rub girl. ;)

The loan program we are doing had a large sum wired to us that we were to give at closing. We were originally told that they would withdraw it, but we were instead supposed to get a cashier's check and take it to closing. So that's how we did that part. We ended up not needing the $17,000.00. It was much less. We needed just over $14,700.00. We had that ready. So it's done and we're owners!!

Congrats! I'm glad it finally all worked out!
And i agree with Becky, you are creating a little life inside your tummy woman! That's hard work. Someone ought to be rubbing your feet. ;)

Can't wait to see pictures of your new home. Very exciting indeed.

Hugs
