K I S S I N G.........
LOL!! I thought that was a funny intro since MA and I met in high school and are now together after 27 years.
Anyway, that is really our only dilemma so far - we like each other so much we wish we started seeing each other in HS because we feel we are so right for each other we would have been a whole lot happier had we met sooner rather than later.
I have never met anyone like him. We have so much to offer each other and so much in common. Since we went to the same school we have a rich history of knowing each other and each other's friends from our teenage years - he loves telling all of his friends that we met at 14. Both of our parents are still married and living in the same houses we were raised and we were raised in similar atmospheres. He has one of the most stable and positive childhoods of anyone I have ever met. Was never in a lot of trouble growing up. He stayed very busy in running and a myriad of other activities and was always industrious with work since a young age and was the president of an academic club and straight A student. Ditto with me. He never dated that many women because he was tall and thin and awkward in his early years. He always liked me in HS and I was on his list of women he wanted to date - he just found that in his yearbook which I thought was cute.
His parents have such a great marriage that he has always wanted to be married but just never met the right person.
Neither one of us drinks or gambles or smokes. We both have the same religion and church attendance habits. We are both responsible but fun and active, too. We both like to do a lot of the same things and love to be in shape. We are both running our own businesses and doing well. He is so so positive and smart and can adapt to any situation with ease. I have no qualms about introducing him to my whole family and all my friends and I have enjoyed meeting his parents and got on well with them - they liked me a lot. He views me and DS as a big bonus package because he has always wanted a family. But we have discussed the kid issue and realize we are both too old to have any on our own.
We both want the same kind of relationship - we have discussed this at length. He wants to see me, IM me from work and talk on the phone on a regular basis. We are both good at discussing and coordinating our schedules - started that this week. He has invited me to some social events that are coming up which is very nice, too. My babysitter and I had to quick go shopping to vamp up my wardrobe - she has been a godsend with the shopping.
So, here I am - I feel like I won the lottery in the dating game. He is everything I could want and more and I am that way for him. We both feel so lucky.
So for now we are just relaxing and enjoying our days to come. We will see each other twice this week for running and dinner and this weekend we are going to go dancing since I was too sick to go last weekend. And I am cooking for him!

Oh boy, this just sounds fantastic. I am so, so , so happy that you have finally found someone to get so enthusiastic about, who ticks all your boxes and who is on the same page as you.
I am doing the happy dance for you. It's been a long time coming, but well worth the wait. This is what I hope for everyone here - I am convinced everyone has their true mate out there somewhere, probably looking for them.

Wow!!!
I am so happy to hear that things are going so well! MA sounds so great. And you know, what I admire is how you have proven to us all that you don't have to sacrifice yourself to be happy. You are the example here of waiting for Mr Right, not sacrificing your values, and knowing, having the confidance to know he is out there...and now, here is here!!! I could not be happier for you, and I look foreward to your next update.
Happy Weekend!!!
