I melt easily, my emotions are right near the surface sometimes.
Seeing a man with tears in his eyes, makes me melt.
A big, sincere smile makes me melt
Last week, for the lesson, I had my students read valentine conversation hearts. Israel was late, so I gave him some after class. He said "I have something for you, too" He reached in his jacket pocket and pulled out a piece of chocolate to give to me. That was sweet.
I melt easily... :)

Well, I have the flu and Shane has been wonderful. He goes to the pharmacy and he has gone to work late the last two days so he could take Dylan to school. He calls to check up on me and is demanding I rest. It counts for a lot with me. Other than that, just how he snuggles up to me in bed and holds me until I fall asleep. I can't explain it, but I feel very safe and happy.

She's due April 15th. It's okay though. I am on an antibiotic that is safe for me and the baby and I can take Tylenol which has broken my fever. I'm fever free now and beginning to feel much better.

The little things... remembering the little stuff I like for instance the stuff my X husband did while courting me:
I was always cleaning my glasses at work, so he finally bought me a special cloth for it.
I had a kidney infection so be bought me a angora warmer to put around my waist to keep heal the infection
I have a bad thing when it comes to not eating and being very cranky due to low sugar level, so he would remember and during the day he would just buy me little chocolates or candy bar to keep me in check.
He'd write love letters, even though we were working together or draw pictures of us.
Take me on walks through the snow in the evening.
When I was sick, he'd stay by my bedside and tell me stories and hold my hand.
I always got flowers, but it didn't mean as much as the things above.
Other things men have done that meant stuff but hardly cost anything:
Midnight picnics outdoors
picking me flowers from the fields
scaling the walls three floors, just to climb up my balcony and talk to me
Telling me I am beautiful when I've looked my worst. Or just telling me I look beautiful.
Grabbing me from behind and holding me tight
Slow dancing with me
Crying in my arms
Writing a card to thank me for being in their lives
This one guy I knew just had a way to always make me feel sooo special without doing anything, but he would just look at me or hold me or say something that was just soooo awesome. He had this way to make me feel that no one else in the world existed but me. My heart still breaks when I think of him and I still miss him very much.
Those are just a few things. I have lot's of memories of things people did for me, just because they wanted to show they cared.
The #1 way to make my heart melt is with a unsolicited compliment. I struggle with self-esteem issues, and I love compliments more than anything that can be bought.
Anything unexpected, like a phone call or a gift just because also makes me melt.

those are nice. I remembered another one my X used to do.
When I had a bad day at work, he would run my bath and then he'd sit in the bathroom and listen to be upset. Then when I finished bitching and moaning, he would play the french hair dresser. He would put on this thick french accent and start washing my hair, the whole bit, shampoo, conditioner, rinse it and then he would get me a warm fluffy towel, wrap me up in it, bring me a glass of wine, all in his accent and blow dry and brush my hair until it was completely done. After that I felt like the most pampered woman on the whole entire earth. Sometimes I really miss things like that. Not him, but a man that just THINKS about me like that again. Yeah know?
