I need some advice here...
EHS's DD5 is having her birthday a few days after my DD's BDay. EHS is going to his xILs to celebrate with DD5. My DD9 wants to get something for DD5 even tho they have never meet and I haven't even meet DD5. Do you think it would be ok for DD9 and I to get something for DD5 and give it to EHS before he leaves? I mean he doesn't have to tell DD5 its from us or tell the XW its from us either. I was also thinking about making her a birthday dress to wear whenever. I finally got my sewing machine up and running and my DD9 won't let me make her cute lil jumper dresses anymore. :(
Is this too much? EHS and I are exclusive and I've already given him a huge box of clothes for DD5 that my DD9 grew out of.
Thanks Ladies and Guys

I think it's ok, provided it is something 'small'.

I don't know when I would meet her. EHS and I haven't talked about it, but he shares pictures of her with me. i'm guessing that it would be in November around thanksgiving. DD5 lives 6 hrs away and EHS gets her 1 wkend a month. I want to ask him but at the same time I'm sure he's going to say something like "Oh you don't have to do that" Which I don't but I want to. I was a stepmom before but to 3 boys and 1 teenage girl almost out the house.
New territory for me.
thanks

Maybe wait to give it to him until she is coming for a visit.

I think it would be okay in the fact that I wouldn't get upset if my daughter was the recipient of the gift. You are a good mom for raising such a good kid.
