I was given this assignment in chat.....because we wondered how many of us are really single and dating! (seems the trend here is to get married--so I should start posting ;) )

Have a great night!

I am a single mother of 2.I was with my kids father for 10 years.I left him as soon as I was pregnant with our son. Anyways my son just turned 3. I met a guy and talked to him but we had nothing serious basicaly, because I don't like to take things to other levels. Unless a guy wants to be direcrtly involved with my life. I am this way because I don't want to spend my time on a guy who only wants me for bed. I have to deal with a lot raising two children, working, and going to shcool at night. I get very emotional in relationships.I just don't want to deal with a guy who is going to end up hurting my feelings. Sometimes I think I'm too uptight. what do you think. by the way I'm new here nice to chat with you all.

Hi and welcome to the board! Glad you posted.

You know, I don't think you're too uptight, or that there's anything at all wrong with how you are currently "dating". Keeping it light because you don't have the time and the "want to" to get serious with someone is very valid. And I have a feeling, if you met someone who was worth taking that risk, you would.

Enjoy yourself and those kids! And don't beat yourself up for not wanting to get in too deep with someone right now.
