Whatcha got cookin' for the weekend?

What does everyone have cooking for the weekend? Is anyone's kids getting out of school?
My DS is now officially out of school. And we are getting ready for a big weekend for us. I am going to a half ironman triathlon north of here - that is 1.25 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run. I am ready - and so excited because a lot of my friends are going. DS and I are going to hit some parks and have some fun - and there will be people to watch him while I am racing.
Share your weekend story - are you cleaning? Dating? Doing kid stuff? Anything exciting going on?

What's cookin'?!?? **I** will be cookin' this weekend!! And well into next week, too! Freakish he!! this place is turning into. TX is supposed to end up with 100's by the weekend and for us here, that usually doesn't happen until July! Sheesh... where is the RAIN??? I think I will just stay indoors all this coming week, venturing out only first thing in the morning, and then later in the day only if I have to. I'm not ready for this kind of heat this early in the year! I feel for you DASPers in more southern parts of TX... you'll be even hotter than I will be.
No big plans for the weekend just yet. I had a quick mid-week date with Hiker tonight, and maybe we will get together on Sunday night, but nothing planned in between there. My kidlets have one more week of school left. Wooohooooo! If it's actually going to reach near 100 degrees, I might just have to break out & inflate the kiddie pool early. That would be fun. :-) I'd be wanting to just SIT in it if it's that hot outside.

My son is taking his older girlfriend to the prom, my nephew is escorting one of my neices friends and one of my neices is going stag. I modified her dress last weekend and they went for the tux fittings today. Everything is greenlight but I'm sure we will have a drastic situation at some point on Saturday, knowing my drama queens!
For the rest of us....
Yard work! Lots of mowing and trimming and dedandelioning!
Mulching and planting and bathing the dogs because they smell like, well, dogs! LOL
Maybe I'll hit a few yard sales :)
Tonight I am going over to my bf's house and we will probably just watch a couple of movies on his bigscreen TV. Not sure what we are doing tomorrow during the day, but tomorrow night we are going out to eat and to a bullriding event! Some of the PBR riders will be there and I am VERY excited!
Not sure what is going on Sunday besides church. I would like to go out to the lake. We have a nice state park with a sandy beach. It is gonna be in the upper 90's this weekend!
School doesn't get out for summer until the 26th. I am so ready for NO HOMEWORK!!
Stephanie
First of all- I am sooo jealous of all of you with high 90's temps! It MIGHT get to 70 here this month!! It's supposed to rain (like it has all week) this weekend, so I wish I could send some of it to all of you who need it, but alas, I can't.
School doesn't end here until late next month, so we're definitely not planning anything around that yet. My parents are home from the hospital on a respite for the weekend, so we're spending time with them.
Other than that, no major plans. Enjoy my family, play the sax, weed the garden (since the weeds like the rain as much as the flowers, ya know ;-) )
Probably end up splashing through the puddles (hey, if ya can't beat 'em, join 'em, right?!) No dating, I don't think. I'm pretty much ready to give up on that, and maybe I'll post more on that frustration later, if I can even work up the energy.
Have a great weekend, everyone!!
