I LOVE Seabiscuit! It's on HBO this month and I've already watched it a couple of times (never all the way through, darn it!)

Tonight, we are going to finish painting the red room (guest room). Tomorrow, we are going to put the guest room together. The 4 poster bed, matress, night stands, etc., are in the family room taking up space. Once the red room is put together, we'll be able to unpack the kids' toys, FINALLY! We are going to put up the fixtures in our bathroom. We are going to finish removing all of the old caulking from the boys' bathroom and recaulk it. We are going to do the yard work in the back yard. We are going to get the bbq grill set up. Before we moved, we cooked on it 6 times a week. We've been without it for 4 weeks now and we are both missing it!!!!!!

And we want to watch the Olympics!!!!!!!! I'm hooked!!!!!

And I was just informed that we are watching our best friends' kids Saturday night - so that will be fun!!!!

I'm with you on the bored part. Heck I just did some invoices a bit early just for the activity. LOL The thing is that I know that it's always either like this or so that I can't even take a break to get a cup of coffee. Feast or famine.

Tomorrow we're going to a picnic sort of thing for 3 couples 25th anniversaries. It probably will be fun once we get there and at least one of the couples are really good friends and we're great friends of my mom too so I've known then since I was like 8 or 9. But at the moment, I'm not looking that forward to it, I think just because it's been such a hectic summer and it's about 45 minutes away and sort of an all day affair. And although it's not adversarial, my stepdad will be there and that's been somewhat uncomfortable ever since my mom died. She froze to death and was missing for 4 days before he even bothered to look for her. And then kept the rings she'd willed to me. So, even though I've gotten over it to a certain extent, there's still a bit of discomfort there. But I would never let that stand in the way of being there for the one couple we're really close to. I know the others as well and they were also friends of mom but I'm just not as close and hadn't kept in touch as closely with them.

Tonight dh will be late so it means eating dinner alone since dd will probably want a kid cuisine and that kind of bums me out. It shouldn't really but I just feel so ready for a nice relaxing evening with dh and it seems that isn't gonna happen.

Sunday the plan is to lay carpet in our hallway. Aren't you jealous?! LOL We did finish the trellis and grape vines in the dining room though and it looks great. I'm still just terrified of the idea of starting on the bathroom mostly because once dh swings that sledgehammer to break up the tub, there's no turning back.

Have a great weekend.

Well I'm jealous you have a hallway to lay carpet in, I'll admit! :)

Update, I just had to lie to the president of the company (my boss' boss) about where she is because she's on a 3 hour lunch apparently.

I'm going to relax, be a bum, do some fun but not strenuous things.

I start my grad class next week, so this is my weekend to chill before hard work sets in.

We're chilling out. Shane is sick with a bad cold and I can feel my throat beginning to hurt. I can't take anything, so I get to be miserable. Oh well, I'll lay in bed all day while D is at schoolnext week and drink hot tea.

Saturday night, we watching my friend's 11 year old son while she goes on a date. He is maintenance free so we'll watch a movie and eat popcorn and hang out. He's a cool kid. I doubt anything exciting will happen. We both are tired and feel icky, so it's gonna be a lazy weekend. Shane works tomorrow, so I am alone with the D-Man. We'll hang out and watch cartoons. He likes that.

Anyway, that's my weekend. Sounds like lots of home improving for lots of you. Cool!

My DS and I are going on a bike ride tomorrow and then we are going to make pancakes, clean the house and car and make syrup for his snowcone machine. His dad will take him on Saturday and then I plan to bowl with friends.

Sunday I am swimming on a relay team for a triathlon in Miami - keep your fingers crossed for us - we are in line to get first in the series - this is the third and final race and as long as we can place we should have a series award. In case you are wondering, I have to swim 1/4 mile in the ocean as fast as I can and then run 1/4 mile in sand to get to the transition area to tag the cyclist.

After that I will ride my bike with friends and then my DS and I are going to my nephew's birthday party.

Thanks, Tara. That is sweet of you.

We had a great race - took 2nd for this race and 1st overall for the series.

My weekends are usually not this crazy but I do appreciate keeping busy, especially when my DS is not here - as we all know those are the hardest times.
