OK so being a bit eager on the prince. Hes away until the end of next week and I have a real urge to call him just to say hi. Ok so you are probably saying so just call already...yes but what i left out is that I sent a text saying the same thing yesterday and no reply. Do I risk seeming overly needy at this point? Hes the one that initiated all the calls to begin with...

Yep- I agree with the whole wagon here- Don't Call Him. He'll call you in time.

Keep busy occupying you mind elsewhere- like having a great weekend and making people smile with your wonderful sense of humor! You're such a great addition to this board. Now as Moon said--- step away from the phone...LOL!

After re-reading my post, even though many of the ladies agreed with me, I feel like I need to clarify the stuff with Hiker & I!

In the beginning, that was what I did. I did NOT call him, ever! Unless it was something I needed to call him back for, in scheduling a date or confirming a set time... I just didn't call. I never called because I was bored. I never called "just to see what he was up to". I never called to ask him out. I left it alone, did my own thing... and waited to see if HE was interested enough to put out the effort!! And thankfully, he did. Because I did like him enough at the start, to WANT to talk to him more, see him more, have more.... but I refused to allow myself that old mistake (I have several BTDT shirts for this one) of calling alot, thinking I was "letting him know I was interested"- when in reality, the numerous calls would become an annoyance and smothered the guy into running away. If I accepted his invitation for a date, that was (should be) enough of a signal to him, that I was interested. And if he wondered if I was interested or not??? Then he should just Ball up and ASK ME.

And now, now that we've been dating for awhile, I no longer make that rule quite so strict. I say it's perfectly okay for me to call him whenever... but because we started out that way (him calling and not me)- that just got to be "how we are" and I am sticking to that pattern just because I know I don't want to regress back to calling too much and smothering him. Because I want to keep him around! So what we have, works for us.

I know there are plenty of couples who will call each other MUCH more often. And it's perfectly fine!!! It's just not how WE are. And if a couple is okay with constant calling (what *I* call "constant"- is like several times a day), then they should enjoy it!!! It works- as long as both people agree that it's neither "too much" nor "not enough". I know that my once-a-night phone call

"how do I know if he likes me or not?"... you'll know if you leave him alone, and he STILL comes calling, trying to get your attention and be with you. You won't know, if you don't leave him alone first.

Great wisdom!!!

ITA Shrimpy, even though I have been guilty of doing the calling in some

OK So i gave it a good try...really I did. I made it all the way to Sunday morning and there was a show on that reminded me of him so I broke down and called him. And it was freakin AWESOME. He called back 3 more times "just to say hi". Hes in the Bahamas for work right now (ok #1 yeah tough life right and #2 cha-ching on the phone bill. When I said to stop calling because its to expensive he replied "no its not...besides its money well spent" Can I tell you I almost burst into to tears and peed my pants at the same time...I cant wait for him to get back next week...I will keep you all updated!!!!
