Hi Tara,

We didn't have any ice yesterday, we had that on Thursday and yesterday was just so pretty with the snow falling and the trees look so pretty. Truth be told, I was white knuckled too...even though I have the truck it not a standard and I get so nervous in it because it's so big and an automatic. I have already slid (180)with it which was pretty scary because it could tip easy. Oh well, I did do much better yesterday and I was not as nervous probably because I am getting used to it.

I am glad I "saw" you too, I did write you an email before Xmas and I am not sure you even saw it.

My Ex has been ALOT better and his wife is doing really well too. I am not sure if it's because I got married or not but I am not complaining I will take it how every it's given to me. They are VERY cooperative and VERY understanding...very strange to me. We are actually working together (like we should be) for the sake of the kids. So all those stresses are non-existant for now but I am always guarded though, as you know. How's things with your ex? Did I ever send you the pictures of our wedding?

Bunco is a LOT of fun, but the game itself is very, very simple.

Oh stop! As I had mentioned, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. It was hanging in the air since months. You just had the guts to bring it up. I applaud you for that. I think that was great to hear how everyone thought. I was just shocked by the threads of how deep that all went. It was totally obvious, that it was a hot topic for some members on and off the board. I think that's ok. I know I am in contact with some members away from this board. It shouldn't be anyone's business if we discuss the board or not. Sometimes, I feel, I need to get off the board, because so many other things are discussed, that I need a one on one attention on a certain matter or members feel the same vice versa. Enough of that. LET's moooooooooove on.
Glad your doing so great in the new place. Congrad's on the weight loss. Terrific! Can't wait to hear if you get that job or not. More money, around the corner from your place? Sounds awesome! Wouldn't that just be the cherry on the sundae when you get it (not if, when)? How's the dating world treating you? Huggie, Huggie, Huggie and a smooch...

Dating world...ughhh

Well I still talk with Jerry and see him.
I did put an ad on yahoo and had one date 2 weeks prior to Christmas but the guy didnt look anything like his picture he litterally had hair like Donald Trump (ewww) and he was just strange. I tried the whole "older man" thing thinking I would be ok with it. I am 32 and he was 44 and never married with a teenage daughter. Well my decision to meet him I had already dropped one of my rules and that is NEVER date a man who is older than 37 and has never been married (it screams commitment phobic to me) Anyway, We went to dinner at The Olive Garden and thats the best thing I can say about the whole date...the meal LOL

No other dates since then... then again my heart is still with Jerry I cant seem to let him go :( So the dating seems pretty pointless right now anyway. Oh well. Im pretty busy with the new place and everything right now anyway so Im not too upset about it all.

HUGS to you!!

Candi, *mutter mutter* years old, Missouri, 3 teenagers...

I'm doing my thing, taking grad classes, doing karate, and as of this week I'm teaching english to hispanic laborers at a new bilingual church.

I'm open to dating, my "welcome" light is on...but I'm not going to do the personals. I'll run across someone soon who thinks I'm the neatest thing since sliced bread.

I *SO* agree with you on the personals.

I spent some time looking on match.com and eharmony.com and I am soooo not into those. Pukola. There are older men with a lot of baggage and bad habits OR younger men that want a hot babe with hot sex and a carefree lifestyle. All they want is fun and sex - their profiles scream that.

Yes - we are both going to find someone who thinks we are the hottest thing since sliced bread. All it takes is the realization and goal - not getting side tracked with Mr. Wrong - and a bit of patience/time.

We are half way there now.

I agree with you, MB, on the over 37 and never been married thing, although my age cutoff for that is around 39/40. But in addition to the commitmentphobe, I have also found there is just a quirk - something major about their personality that would make you NOT want to live with him.

Although I do know some exceptions to this - I have a good friend who did not get married until she was 40 - she just could never meet the right guy because she has a successful business and I think that is intimidating with most men. She ended up marrying a guy who is 10 years younger and has 3 very small children from his first marriage. I have had to coach her on how to be a mom!!

Then there was my uncle who did not marry until he was 50!! He was a veteran of a war and tended to be a shy loner. He married his best friend's wife - his best friend died of cancer. They are such a happy couple.

And then there is my friend Adrian who did not marry until he turned 40. His parents had a bitter divorce and he was struggling with his father's business. He lived with his girlfriend for 15 years and then astonised her with a proposal.

So you never know - but you have to beware as you say.

At least you gave yahoo a try - you get a lot of credit for going on a blind date - I just can't bring myself to do that. What is going on with Jerry?

Enjoy your new place and GOOD LUCK with your new job opportunity - that would be great if you could work close to home and make more money at the same time.
