It seems most women regardless of how short they are require 5'10" and above for matches.

But the 5'9" one sounds nice - what if we buy him some heels? And you some flat flats? LOL!!

I agree with you on the IM thing - especially when you have not met yet - so see what he does with that - I think you get an email when they send an IM and you are not on?

Your other stories and descriptions are funny - especially with the airport being under siege and the handsome one being grandpa handsome.

Your stories are so entertaining!!! I guess we have to look at the dating scene as a source for great stories and not much else some times.

I think you should check out that guy who looks old in pics too. Some people are just not photogenic and may be you will find him better IRL. Biker is one example..

Ok my first thought on reading your title was I agree, why can't I be 5'5 too. Of course I am between 5'2 and 5'3. hee hee! My height requirement is that they be taller than me which really isn't too much to ask but even I prefer them at least 5'7 so I can understand. But I am finding that my taller friends who used to require at least 6'0 are starting to make exceptons if the guy is appealing enough in other areas. So if he sounds intriguing why not at least check it out...there really is nothing to lose right?

As for Eh, I didn't like that they kept sending people in their late 40's to 50's because that is too old for me. I rate every match and have noticed that lately the majority are under the age of 45.

Oh and by the way I am a size 8 petite. I have about 20 extra lbs since having my son which is pretty equivalent to 40 lbs at your height. I too am trying to lose it but it really isn't that bad and I don't think men are looking at me and thinking I am too big. Just as I don't think you are but I completely understand that it is a comfort thing.

By the way, my son loves your dogs!!

LOL... i agree msmsavannah.. i am also 5'3"...

my perfect height for a guy is between 5'7" and 6'.... but if they are nice i'll go out of that range...

I grew up in Hawaii.. where the average height for a woman is 5'1".. so i felt tall until i moved to Virginia.. lol... now i realize that i am short but i'm okay with that.... and we know i can't wear heals because i fall down too much...lol....

I actually lost some weight in the last couple weeks... i guess breakups can be good for that... i feel very comfortable with my size now...i can fit those clothes i bought

That's not completely true. I'm 5'4" and I really don't go for guys who are more than 5'11". I don't want my man to have to bend at the waist for a kiss. Tall men are such a turn off for me.

true but i find it hard to put it on evenly.... or reach my back... but self tanners are a great idea too... especially for my legs if i want to wear short shorts...

Just so you know, the new moisturizer/tanners that build tan gradually are MUCH better than the ones four or five years ago. I am very pale and used to hate applying them before but now it is not hard at all. Maybe you should give them a try again? I would use the ones that are just mixing the tanners with the moisturizers for a glow that builds. not the actual tanning lotions. The effects arent as stark and so the streaking doesnt happen hardly at all.
I also tried a spray tan once or twice in a tanning salon and thought it was pretty great - just expensive. You literally spin around naked so it goes on very evenly and lasts a while. You can choose how dark you want to go and they do work.
