What in the world?

This has to be one of the craziest OLD profiles I have ever read. Way too creepy - but creative at the same time - just HAD to share with y'all!!

I may not be the only woman on Match who has written a profile, but I suspect I am the only one who has written one for an ex. Gene and I were married for 6 years. I am his only ex, though he is my third of four. (That's our wedding picture.) I love him a lot and admire him deeply, though I will never marry again.

Of all the people I have met in my lifetime, some proved to be bad, many proved to be nice and average, and only a handful proved to be of such goodness that they almost seemed angelic. Gene is one of the latter.

I admit, my first attraction to him was his eyes. Deep, sea blue, and mirrors into his sweet, kind, loving soul. And his smile. It's bright enough to light a dark room. And his quick wit and ability to make me laugh at the toughest of times. (That's his skill as an auctioneer, too! The entire auction crowd becomes quickly taken with him, and the rest is usually history!)

He loves women – perhaps to a fault. And women seem to love him – not so much for his looks, although I think he is strikingly handsome, but for his kindness, his charm, his generosity, and his old fashioned chivalry. My mother loved him, my sister loved him, all my girlfriends loved him. Though he loved my “strength and independence,” he felt it incumbent on himself to “take care of” me. He is an amazing listener, uncannily instinctive about his partner's moment-to-moment needs, and can speak and write messages of love with Shakespearean originality – many, I will never forget. He reminds me of the Nick Marshal character (Mel Gibson) in “What Women Want.” Sometimes, it was as if he could hear what I was thinking though I hadn't opened my mouth.

He is kind, sensitive, generous, and often disappointed by the human condition. On the rainy eve of one Thanksgiving, two low-level employees of his were arrested for shoplifting in a supermarket. He bailed them out and bought them $200 worth of Thanksgiving groceries. Another called him from Mexico one day. Unbeknownst to Gene, the employee was undocumented and, in Gene's absence, was removed from his auction warehouse and deported. Facing some potential problems himself, Gene nonetheless rushed him $1, 000 cash via Western Union.

He is spontaneous, passionate and, when an idea excites him, infectiously enthusiastic. Life with him was amazingly exciting, especially as he animatedly talked about a new business idea, and then turned it into a mini-empire. He is the type of a person you can date once but, for a lifetime, never forget.

And yet, he is mysterious. As quickly as he exudes excitement and enthusiasm, he sometimes recoils into bed, as if the rigors of reality have temporarily overwhelmed him. He would unplug the phone, pat the mattress next to him, and for days we would stay in bed watching movies and making love.

He is an amazing man, for whom, in my opinion, no woman is good enough, including me. He deserves, and I wish him, eternal happiness. There, Gene, NOW are we even?

I was thinking maybe he was getting on her nerves because he is overbearing - so she wants to marry him off.

I don't know - have never come across something like that before so had to copy/paste!

I'm in the "if he's so great, why isn't she still married to him?" camp.

And the comment about he's a ladies man????
