Working things out

I like how Blue Eyes and I work things out these days. I swear it's taken time, but we seem to be able to get along without too much drama anymore..and when things happen it's so much less often these days. The drama daughter has not been an issue at all for months. Which seems to coincide with BH not calling him anymore. I am so relieved. And he drinks considerably less these days. He is very conscious of it.

Choosing your battles is wise. I have learned not to sweat the small stuff but rather only focus on what really matters. BE greatly appreaciates this and he comes my way much more often these days because of it.

Thanks for you kind words!! I wish the same understanding continues for you and Slapshot :o)

Good job. I like how you said you reacted the way you reacted and are not apologetic about that... That's taking ownership of how YOU feel. Great job.

Second, i liked how you were able to apology for what you realized was your part ie not getting the call... again EXCELLENT.. in recovery we call that step 10... "continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it".

Great stuff and keep up the good work.

Thanks, Loony! Somehow we've been learning these things. We really want to "get" each other and so it's taken time, but it is worth reaching these steps and milestones. Thanks for your encouragement :o)

It's a tough road to get to the point you are with BE.

It is good to hear how people work things out and be "happily ever after".. I like those stories better than the ones where everything was fine from the start and had nothing to work on.

I do act like a brat from time to time..But Biker has shown me that I CANT do it with him.. That is really good for me. I did realise that if I stop saying some silly things we would never fight..literally.. I do tend to forget that I am an adult...lol..We did have couple of minor

Yay!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Mommy!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled for the two of you.

Yes....don't sweat the small stuff. Instead, enjoy what gifts of love you give each other daily. Pick you battles wisely, save that for the big stuff if there are any. You'll both appreciate each other more and love being with each other all the more.

Yes start a thread about our pregnancies! I sure we all have lots of fav moments!
