Packed up his stuff and moved it to his storage bin and then changed the locks this weekend while he is off partying in NY with his friends. Would that be really immature? Because I am beginning to think immature is all he can relate to. I am sure my brothers would be more than willing to help me out if they knew what was going on here.
Of course he is he is being overly nice to me right now; most likely in hopes that he can sway me. Ha ha!!! He is in for a rude awakening. I have a song to quote on this one.
"Don't think all those tears are gonna hold me here like they've done before. You'll find what's left of us in a cloud of dust on highway 4. Baby what did you expect me to do? Just sit around and wait on you? Well, I'm through watching you just skate around the truth and I know it sounds trite but I've seen the light...bye bye love I'll catch you later got a lead foot down on my accelerator and the rear view mirror torn off cause I ain't ever looking back and that's a fact"

Oh wow - so you did get the locks changed! This is a turning point for you. While I know it is sad that he is not going to be with you the way you want and especially when you share a child, I think this is the next best thing - that you maintain control and dignity over your interests and do not allow him to keep walking all over you.
And I think in time you are going to be glad you got rid of him because I can tell from your posts that you really have yourself together and you are going to do much better than this - you will find an equal partner who makes time for you and makes you feel special and IS half of the relationship!!
Keep us posted on how the exchange of stuff goes. That is so so so so cool that you changed the locks - no weasel out from the weasel! hahaha!!
GOOD STUFF GIRL!!
I am so proud of you!!!!!
Hey Savannah...I think its great. Empowering and fantastic! Now it would have been awful if you set up his stuff in black lawn and leaf bags with a box of tissues and a quarter with a note that says...sorry call someone who gives a monkeys butt...but you took the high road and should be very proud of yourself for you continued generosity and compassion.
"Sure enough, I got a call from him this morning. He was at my house and realized the locks were changed. I just said yes they are. He asked when he could get his stuff so we set a time and that is all that was said."
Good for you. I think you handled this well. I personally would (did) change the locks without offering to pack anything. He had plenty of time to do that. After changing the locks it is totally at your convenience when he gets his junk back.
