First off--no this is not because I am going out with someone in law school!

For years I have been unsatisfied with my job--its not the job really but the income!

If the world was totally open and it really is just ANYTHING... I would love to have one of those Food Network jobs of traveling to different places, eating, and then talking about it!!

That would be a lot of fun--I'd definately sign up for the dessert/chocolate legg of the tour!!

You seem to have done your research and know what's what for the program you are contemplating, which is far more than most students I see.

I think it is so very different for a single parent who decides to take a step like this...I have been doing so much research and reading so much about the law school experience I might end up being a step above...The LSAT in December was full of college kids who were pretty cocky AND they are still on their parents dime--I am going in there thinking "I am giving up so much for this"--We just aren't on the same level as far as life experience goes...

If I could do it again I would go for an MS

The best advice I ever got when I was contemplating going back to school was, "well, the (xx months) will go by either way, what do you want to show for it at the end of it?"

That's been an odd realization to come to, but incredibly empowering too :)

I agree--My mom is totally dependent on my Dad for everything--I am not from her generation and I need to step up and own my own life!!

I know about the money side- I don't know HOW the heck I managed with a two yr old, let alone paying out 90% of the "income" I had to rent!

Yeah, I've thought about doing free lance photo work. I need to bone up on the digital world-- when I was doing my photo work we were in 35mm film world!!

I'd like to though! I might get re-inspired by printing up somemof my Italy pics!

Yes. There just aren't enough non-office hours in the day for me.

I answered your question a little differently because I worked
