Our boarder is going to move out!!!! Shane told me he found an apartment. I imagine it will be around the first when he goes. He's been going home to get stuff so I can guess it's soon! OMG! I am sooo glad we're getting our house back and will have it back to normal. It's so good to be normal again!

You survived - and now Shane has a lesson learned. I bet you won't do that again.

I'll make the sinful dessert. Magic cookie bars made with a graham cracker crust, a layer of sweetend condensed milk, a layer of chocolate chips, some nuts, and whatever else. All this is baked and bubbly and chilled to make a HIGH calorie dessert! Some like coconut, but I think the texture is like eating fingernails, so I'll omit that, but I'll put some on the side for you all to use if you want!
What will you bring???

T came here after work about 6 and went straight to his room. He was packing up. He asked me to open the garage and he got his stuff, said goodbye, thanked me and left. He went ahead and moved into his place yesterday.
Girls, it was so nice to have our house back. I know it was just over 2 weeks like Shane promised, but it seemed like an eternity. Really.
My mom kept pointing out, "Melissa, it's just as inconvenient for him as it is for you. And it will be over soon." True, but good grief. I still am glad it's over. Now that Shane and I have our house back to ourselves, we can finally get back to normal.
Thanks to all of you for the support during this. It was hard for Shane and I, but we got through it and I hope we never have this to deal with again.

I have told Shane over and over again that the reason we have no money is his habit of taking orders for lunches and not collecting money. It's not our responsibility to fund the dealership's lunch. Maybe he'll get it.

It sounds as though Shane is so so generous. And he has a lot of pressure to perform for his sales department. Not only for himself but also for his department. And it probably really brings up the morale of his guys when he takes them to lunch.
So... Instead of being frustrated with Shane's lunch habits - can you come up with a reasonable alternative? Like baking cookies or something like that he can take to his crew? Or even helping with a better idea for him not to spend so much money?
I think you are right about managing the money better but you have to present a positive approach and alternatives so he doesn't resent your ideas.
Just my two cents worth....
