well to let you know i just recently went through this situation myself. Also I have to have this thing I call the phone test I have to hear how they sound before I meet them in person, plus it gives me a chance to ask any questions I need to know so I have something to go off of when we meet in person.
Ah... yes.. part 2 of the assignment from that book i mentioned..
Take the pressure OFF... you are NOT interviewing your next boyfriend or potential husband.. NO WAY..
You are enjoying the company of someone else... talking about what interests you... enjoying a dinner or movie or couple drinks... enjoying the moment... i repeat NOT interviewing.. lol....
This part of dating i got very good at... (so i look forward to getting back to it)... it's not even about getting a second date.. it's about being open, being yourself, discovering something new about yourself and someone new.. i like to think of it as a gift to the other person... he doesn't owe me anything (except maybe buying.. but not even that..lol). Your time and your presence is a gift to him.... shine a light and share a smile... if you've done that.. then it's a great date... regardless!!!!
That's how i'm starting to feel better about TG, too.. i'm starting to think of it as a gift.. not that he owes me something.. i won't go back (because i'm not a doormat) but i know that it's okay that it didn't last long.. i can smile again and remember the fun times... especially the night in the ER...
I look forward to the dating stories to come... (cuz sometimes it's about the story ....not the ending..lol)

I do have a hard time keeping track with women I have not met yet.
Oh yikes... will that end up on my gravestone?!??
LOL!!! Yes, or maybe "people with breadstick parts....."
I'm cracking up. Shrimps, you are so cute..I'm thinking of Ninja Mouse, Nuked Peeps and Bread Penises. All Shrimpy trademarks!!
It's crazy that I can be so nutty sometimes... and I'm with Hiker, who can be so not-goofy most of the time! I guess we balance each other out. lol
He finds the penis breadstick amusing though. hehe and we still make all sorts of sexual innuendos around all of that. ;-)
