At least I can count on iVillage! MY goodness, all my computer stuff locked up on me. No passowords would work, but HEY, I got it to work here! Although, it did give me trouble and told me why and maybe that is why nothing else worked.

Can you BELIEVE it??? I left my computer home for 4 days and it felt terrific! I went to the beach and had a OK time. It was great, but not great. Make sense? No? ok..
I guess I felt rushed by people and I didn't want that. I was so frazzled and ready for a break that I didn't want a schedule of any kind and I have so many awful selfish friends that it was so hard for me to just let me have time to myself. I'm glad they wanted to be with me, but I felt like my every second alone to myself was being timed. So what did I do?
I just left for the beach. Left my phone at my place, left my computer at home in Charlotte and just didn't allow myself to be close to anyone or anybody for about a day and a half. I went clothe shopping for myself on Friday morning until afternoon. It was sooooo nice. I haven't done that in 2 years. I bought myself the most beautiful dresses ever and I wore one out on Saturday night. I felt like a real beauty. Odd to say, I know, but I just felt so beautiful in them. I received many compliments, but I could have received none and felt terrific, because the moment I put them on, I just felt so wonderful. I can't tell you what I mean, it just was.
DRANK WAYYYYYYY to much, which I shouldn't have. I know it was my vacation, but I just should have eased up instead of drinking 3 days in a row. It doesn't make for a very cheery morning. The evenings were enjoyable and fun, until I got him and got sick on Friday. Saturday, I eased into it and went to bed early around midnight. Next day, I was up and ready to drive again around 10am. Got home and another storm just ruined my yard. I'm getting REALLY over the amount of debree in my yard everytime I come home. It's like NEVER ending.
I did go out with a friend on Thursday night, who took it a LITTLE further and tried to kiss me. Instead he got the cheek, which ended up being licked off. TOTALLY DISGUSTING. Needless to say, he never got called again and that was just plain grosssssss!!!!

Home again tonight and wishing I had a few more days off this week, but sooo looking forward to having my girls home next week. Gotta lots to do and all my purchases from last week came in, so I am ready to REMODEL before they get here!

That is the update. No new guy, no new interest, no nothing. I'm just glad I had my freaking peace and quiet. Although, dog licker could have spared me, but dinner was AWESOME(I paid for it last time to ensure he understood we were friends).

EWWW to dog licker! How crazy is that. Glad to hear you got a good weekend away to yourself - and retail therapy does rock! Would love to see pix of the dresses!! That is wonderful that you treated yourself and found something that makes you feel special :-)

What beach did you end up going to? Had it been close to me we could have meet up. I'm on the coast and only live around 3 hours from you.

And dog licker - too funny to call him that- that's so gross! I wouldn't call him again either. Like EVER!!!

No fear, dog licker never received another call, courtesy or whatever. I mean, geesh! I have a dog already and she's much cuter, not to mention a girl!
Speaking of girl, I forgot to tell you all I got hit on by a lesbian the other night. She wouldn't quit smiling at me while her lover was rubbing up against her. Yes, odd weekend.

6 more days and the girls are home whoooo and I'll be on vacation for a week. Double whoop!

I got quite a bit done. The house is almost completely in order. I just need this week to finish up loose ends. I bought new slip covers for my two couches and ordered a new couch. So I tried on the slip covers but they are a little to big, so now I am going to wash them hot since it's cotton and shrink them. Then I want to buy new pillows to go with them and just dump the pillows I have from the old couch. I think the slip covers will look much more attractive then. I also got a beautiful footstool that is comfy for me to sit down now on my couch and prop up feet.
My new couch will be here in a little while. It's chocolate suede and beige. It won't be here for the arrival of the girls, but its' ordered.
My dining room chandelier came as ordered and a BITTT bigger then anticipated. However, I still love it, hung it up with help from the nice neighbors and hope that when I get my dining table under it that it won't be too big for that room. I don't want to send it back, but I don't want that money spent for nothing.
Dining room chairs still have to be remodeled, but that project is going to be done by EOW.
I'm picking up my curtains today and hanging them.
My daughters bed will be picked up this week.
I've decided to change the color of the formal living room to a very faint champagne blush. The sea green that it has now, is beginning to look a little on the beach side and I don't want that, because the other colors are so pretty and more earthy.
Put almost all my things up in the attic, but have a few more. Need to tighten up things here and there. The only carpet in the house needs to be steam cleaned with my steamer and everything else is pretty spotless.
I'll still have little things to get here and there for the girls, but all in all, I think we are beginning to make it home.
Today J the hottie owner of the house, is coming over to fix the final repairs. So bath drain will work, doors will lock correctly and fans will be installed. All other things I've fixed or had the neighbor assist me. J came over today to chop the big branch for me in my yard that fell. I thought that was very nice of him.
So a few more home depot and house items and I think I'll be set. Thanks for asking. :)
