After my post early this morning my day took the strangest turn. Oh BTW, dh and I are fine. He totally got it and had emailed me this morning about what he didn't do right in terms of what I needed last night. Anyway, remember I was a bit upset about having to report to someone other than the exec director and feeling marginalized? Well, this afternoon the interim exec director pulled me, another colleague and my supervisor into his office for a meeting. My supervisor resigned effective later this month. (about 2 weeks) So now, it's all getting me up to speed to take on his duties at least until a permanent exec director is hired and then who knows, if I'm doing a good job as the acting marketing and pr director (though there has not been any talk yet about an official announcement putting that title on me, it has been decided that that's what I'm going to be doing) then maybe I'll end up keeping the job. I'm a bit overwhelmed (remembere no marketing background/experience prior to about 6 months ago when I got promoted), excited, kind of head swimming. It could be a good turn of events though. Two of my coworkers have already done a wahoo this is great news for you, just sure that the position will end up with me. And offered to do whatever they can to help me make that happen. Wish me luck.

Yay! That's great. I hope it does work out that you get to keep the position permanently, if that's what you want. It's nice that you have co-workers pulling for you and supporting you, not trying to begrudge you this opportunity! Good luck!
