Hi all,

Well i'm 26 and im starting to give up with men in general. It's so hard to find the right one and I'm definitely starting to feel hopeless, a pretty, down to earth girl like myself should not have a problem!! =/. If I go out anywhere to bars or the gym, guys will look, or stare once in a while but never speak to me, and its soo annoying. The other night went out for a friends bday and met a guy everything was going good the whole night, and he walked me to my car, held hands, mentioned we should go for dinner and we exchanged numbers. I dont get it its been 6 days and he hasnt called like what the hell!!, the guy should call the girl, I dunno! I was thinking about texting him, but then im like y, he has my #! for these reasons I feel like what is wrong with me!, and im quick to be upset about the bad luck I have with guys, at times I compare myself with other girls like what is "it" about them that they have a BF or tons of guys! and I hate to have these thoughts. I'm just feeling depressed with life, I try to make new firends and occupy myself with things I enjoy but im always in the same rut!

curlybabe, when the guys look at you, do you give them a gorgeous smile? You need to send some encouragement so they know you're open to being spoken with.

There will always be more who just notice you, and a smaller number who show some kind of interest, and the smallest number will ask you out. So, from what you've posted, the thing would be more exposure, I guess. Maybe online dating.

Yes it is a numbers game. But it is also being open warm and friendly. Too many times when someone is trying to make contact we may be thinking of something else and not notice.
Women can be assertive. Many men are very wary of the "friend zone"too. For many men trying to meet a woman when sober is a frighting experience. Especially after 30 and out of the college environment or never went or were married it is all scary.
My grandmother would say be seen,be seen.
