Are we more than friends...

Recently my male friend moved back home after being away for 6 years. During his time away we lost touch and have just rekindled our friendship upon his return. Over the past three weeks, I have found that we have been spending a lot of time together. We see each other at least twice a week, and spend the entire weekend together. When we're not together we either chatting, emailing or texting each other to make plans for our time together as well as just general chit chat. I know this sounds silly, but when we're out he usually sits quite close to me so that we're touching, but not touching. Anyway, he hasn't made any moves on me when we're in person, but can be flirty when we're over email or text. I find myself thinking about him all the time; I get butterflies in my stomach when I'm near him. They're so bad that I can hardly concentrate on the activity that we are engaged in doing. I just wanted some thoughts on the situation before going speaking with him about his feelings about us.

The things you mention are iffy. If he has more interest than friends, is there a reason he would not act on them clearly?

Sorry but I can't know for sure... It doesn't seem to me like there's anything more than friendship going on. If there were, it would be much more obvious to you than to any of us strangers. If you feel that strongly for him then isn't he worth the risk to say something? I wish I could be more helpful... Some things in life require a bit of courage, not knowing exactly what reaction you will receive. Good luck, I hope it turns out well!

If you wouldn't act this way with any of your other male friends, then it's probably a good idea not to do that with this friend until he makes his intentions a little more clear to you.

I think he's a shy person with possibly a low self esteem.

It's obvious to me from what you're saying that you're strongly attracted to each other.
