Do they feel the deep emotional feelings associated with being in love or for them is it about sex, power, conquering, winning and fulfilling their ego and when the relationship fails, does their heart break or well, the opposite feelings of most of what I just said?

I'm in my late 40's and have always been in a bad relationships and just ended a relationship of 21 years, 16 of which we were married.

You sounds like a terrific man who loves his wife. Y'all are fortunate to have each other.

There are as many men out there head over heels with their partner as there are women. Its a wonderful feeling.

It sounds like you are very hurt by marriage ending and are grouping all men together in one.

Hi my name is Adam in 26, I live in fl. And as a man I do feel love and desire the deep emotion and connection that one has during sex.

I look forward to coming home to my wife with flowers, and wrapping my arms around her and telling how much I loved her.

So my point is not all gues are the same, just like all women are not the same, so just because you can't figure out one guy doesn't mean that you can't figure out a guy that means the world to you.

Get yourself in therapy and find out WHY you are attracted to the type of men you have picked in the last 25-30 years

Good luck

mom_iv, I really don't want you to take this the wrong way because I don't mean to be offensive... But if you are nearing 50 years old and you have been so badly burned that you are not even sure if half the human population is capable of feeling love, or capable of a relationship without being abusive or cruel, then what you need is not a relationship, it's time with a therapist to heal from a lot of deep wounds.
