Depends on what you want & how you see relationships working
If you think guys should lead & take initiative in the asking, then you asking him out won't work. You'll find guys that accept your dates & then don't take the lead.
Otherwise, what you're doing is good. Flirting, dressing up.
Where do you meet them? Maybe it's the location?
White & employed seems totally reasonable, lol, ... but could there be other expectations you're putting out there? What's the wrong kind?
Is East Texas as concerned with appearences & social classes, as much as I expect it would be? (some places just seem to mix better than others)
NO not just white and employed.
I used to believe in forever, but forever was too good to be true.Winnie the Pooh
Maybe try going out with them anyway, they could be nice underneath the tough exteriors
Maybe they want to be appreciated for more than their clothing choices, while you want to be appreciated for more than sex
So Tulip say yes to every guy who asks me out?
I gave a guy my number and he sent pictures of his penis until I threaten to have someone kick him until his penis fell off.
I've never had that experience
It isn't a lot around here.
I think one major thing you could do is stop lumping all men together in any way and simply see those individuals who responded as badly as they did, as rotten apples in the barrel.
You still have not answered where you're going that you're meeting only the jerkiest of the bunch.
