Husband depression help

I'm at a loss. My husband has horrible anixety issues, and I am trying to be supportive as much as possible. The other day at work they told him he was starting to slip a little bit and it has really set him back. What can I do to help him use this as a chance to do better instead of wallowing in the sense of failure?

You didn't say much detail but I would think that if he has clinical depression/anxiety then he would be best helped with a therapist and meds. The things we'd normally do to help a friend or loved one might not be enough. Good luck.
