So, yesterday afternoon, I went over to the house of this guy I started seeing.

I'm thinking that this is why I don't go over to men's houses whom I don't know, when it's very early in the dating, and why you probably made that rule yourself. Even if he did have the intentions to call you for dinner, and fell asleep... did he call you first thing this morning when he woke up and realized what happened?

It doesn't really matter what he tells you about his personality... What matters is the person YOU see, not the person he tries to convince you he is. So if he says "I'm not the kind of guy who blah blah blah", you don't have to completely disbelieve him, but take his words with a grain of salt until you're sure he's lived up to them. I don't think you have anything to feel ashamed about, you did something that you wanted to do, you're an adult, you can make these decisions if you want. You had sex. So what! I hope it was good :) If you enjoyed it then there should be no regrets. If he never calls again, well, better to find that out now than later, right?

But I do think he will call again. This only transpired yesterday afternoon, I don't think enough time has passed to write him off yet. I do think you're reading too much into it. Remember that a guy who really likes you will not change his course just because of sex.

i agree with your advice. We as women have to be careful how we go over to mens' apartments/houses early in the dating game.
