He said he'd invite you over but his house is a mess. My guess is, that means he's married. And, that he was hoping you'd say, that's okay, we can go to my place (and have sex). But you didn't.

You start kissing a guy you've just met in a bar and you don't understand why he expects to get lucky? You don't "get it"? Well, I would bet that he's thinking the same thing.

Look at it from this perspective...a woman walks into a bar alone (with a bit of a buzz on, no less) and without hesitation, approaches two guys then begins dancing & kissing the first guy who shows her attention....frankly, it sounds like the woman is not only "willing" but "looking" for a hookup just as much as the guy.

If you're looking for a "connection" that involves emotions rather than physical parts, it's best not to obscure your intentions and reserve the kissing until after you've at least had a date with the guy.

On the bright side, at least your naiveté didn't result in your being attacked in the parking lot.

Well, I give you credit for going out on your own. That's not easy. However, you might have a better chance of meeting quality guys in a different environment, such as a coffee house, or meetup group. I'm in my early 40's and find that most of the men I meet in a bar environment are strictly looking for something casual. (Especiallly if it goes beyond friendly conversation.) Also, as we all know, alcohol can often lead us into regrettable situations...
