The longest thread about nothing....
| Thu, 01-27-2005 - 10:22pm |
Now, don't confuse this with random thoughts... there does not have to be any thought involved in this one... just curious how long this thread can get... just talking about nothing...
Although knowing us.. it will turn to men, love, sex, cowboys, embroidery (heheh T) and more...
Who wants to talk about nothing? It's all men think about. :-)

Exactly. Being at cycle day 40 was not uncommon for me!! But apparently this time I had a normal 28 day cycle and didn't even know it!!!
OR - I had a longer cycle and it just shows up early b/c of it being twinies.
What am I going to call them. I don't want to call them the twins.
I'd LOVE to be able to find a mom and pop place. That's one thing I miss about Florida....Living in a college town, you could find SUCH good deals.
In school we had the bestest coffee table EVER...which is probably why Im picky now. It was REAL wood, heavy, it was a coffee table, and then had a lower shelf, along the floor, that was just as big as the table...(I assume that makes sense. It had 2 levels, and was open)...so, you could just set things on the lower shelf..and...Voila! the room was clean. :)
I have the futon directly facing the TV, so, if Im not laying or curled up onthe futon, Im sitting with my legs down in front of my all proper...yuck...so I end up sitting on the floor leaning against the futon (lovely, a $600 backrest) and have whatever Im working on spread out on the floor.
Which I hate cause then it always looks messy, so I go around picking it all up and putting it all away....then Im ready to work again and have to gather all my "supplies" back up, so its a waste of effort all around.
ANYWAY....Im not sure where I'd have to go here for something like that.
The area that I live in....all the mom and pop places are "antique and collectibles" -- so everything is MORE expensive then just buying new. argh.
Im sure if I went INTO Kansas City, I could find something that would give me a better deal for cash. But Im getting too old to keep going into questionable areas on my own. :) Momma says Im trying to get myself shot. :-|
Besides, I know where Goodwill IS...and its on the way to Sam's Club...and I want to check out Sam's Club veggies...cause the grocery stores in this town and even down on Barry Rd (which is where Walmart and chain-stores are, only 15 miles south)...suck. Seriously suck.
So. One day. Some day.
I blame heather. She's the one that made me buy a TV. then a futon. So a coffee table was sure to be coming.
actually...I thought of getting just one of those TV dinner table things...the folding kind?
but, again...I'd always be wanting to put it up, cause it would look like it didn't "belong"

Okay. here I am. Later than usual but I've been away this afternoon to Paisley to get Jo's papers signed for her new flat. I've been trying to play catch up since I got home and I'm not doing a very good job of it.
I'm going to do one of my "to everybody" posts and answer what I can remember. Jenn- I'm so pleased for you that you're moving out of the IL's house. Woohoo!Jennie - the names are wonderful. Teresa - you spent $600 on your futon and you let - em - stuff on it? hehehe
*******
hehehe..well, I spent the $600 on it nearly 3 years ago, back when I had money and income, and $600 was not a lot to spend for a major furniture item.
(its not like, a walmart futon. its from a furniture-furniture store, its wood and nice with the best of the available mattresses...AND..the arms on it are curved, unlike most wooden futons, so you can lay on it like a couch and you don't get a dent in your head from the corner of the arm rest. A lot of thought went into that purchase)
Annnnd......when John came along......it was the ONLY furniture item in the house, I think, save for maybe a directors chair? and that would just break if we tried anything in IT.......So it was futon or rug.
heh. or both.

I wasn't criticising the amount of money you spent on said futon - only the - em - stuff - that was allowed to get on it! LOL
So where is everybody?
