I'm 41, he's 27.
I guess I wonder why you need him to know your exact age. Why does it matter? Wouldn't you like to see if there's any romantic interest first?
Based on his actions, conversations, etc... I'm fairly certain he's about to ask me out.
But it's just a number... It's superficial. It's not
Hard to say if it would make a difference or not - depends on what his intentions are.
I thought about dating a younger man for awhile -- although your age gap is a bit smaller than the one I considered and in my case the guy was actually stating his interest and inviting mine openly.
Most likely he actually can tell your approximate age from your appearance and if he asks you out is more likely to want casual sex than a serious relationship.
Most women look about their age and think they don't. I have yet to hear a woman say "everyone tells me I look 5-10 years older than my age" lol. A 27 year old male and 41 year old female are likely in completely different stages of life and not compatible longterm. I think sometimes the younger guys will go after an older woman just to have some fun and get a break from the pressure of the younger ones, who want to get married and start families. He probably knows the deal, and if he does ask you out, it's important that you do too. Good luck.

Sorry but I have to say, I have not once met a woman who didn't "look her age". That doesn't mean you can't look GREAT for your age, or say if you're 45 you may be as attractive or moreso than a 35 year old... But I have to laugh that you think you look younger because a guy you dated was trying to flatter you. When people guess your age, they always aim low.
