Is this possible, and if so, how can I understand it?

I have been dating an active duty military officer for a little over a year now.

It's an awesome feeling :)

I know what you mean, we are very selfish about our time together and will go out some but ust do much fun just to be together.

Yep we met online and at first I was weird about it but now I don't care ! It worked for us

My kids are 5th & 8th grades, no way would I move them, they have lived here their entire lives and have extended family here. I also wound not take them away from their father, even though I can't stand him!

SO knows all of this, he even told me at one point he would be dispaoointed if he thought I would uproot them for him. So, we will ait until one of his can change things. More than likely it wil be him, selling the bsuiness and his house in a few years. All though one of my friends thinks he will not hold out that long.

Unfortuntalely, my son met him before I was ready, thank you stupid ex for allowing my son to change plans with out chekign with me. So I then went ahead and introduced him to my daughter. My son adores him, they have a lot in common. Daughter not so much, she goes hot and cold.

He was in the Army for 3 years so not career military, but he is very proud of it and works with a local military charity where he lives

Good for you! I love military men :)

Our stories are similiar, I was married for 14 yrs, my SO for 20. He and I are going to remain LDR for the next few years, its just unavoidable as he owns a business where he is, and I won't move my kids. But, we are so good together, we both agree as much as its a pain, its worth it.l

There's a board for long distance relationships, you should jump on there, its usually pretty quiet, maybe we can liven it up

Has he been married before? Honestly, why not ask him that question, what is the worst thing that can happen? Or wait until he is back from overseas.

I think it's impossible for anyone to answer that question because we can't read his mind.
