Why are you trying to figure it out.

Classic example of why talking is better than texting.

I'd suggest you call him instead of texting him. Leave texting for quick messages such as "can you get milk on the way home?"

OMG, tish, I agree 100%. I thought I was the only one on the planet that didn't text. I have texted with one person once the summer when she and her family were up here for vacation. At first, I had no idea what/how to reply.

Don't think about it too much. Pick up the telephone and call him. Actually talk.

"He said if someone has something to say, call. If they can't call then it can't be that important." couldnt agree more.

texting is the worst form of communication in dating.

For what it's worth, I didn't "get" what you call your subtle complement either until you explained what you meant (and I'm neither offended or dumb).

Should have used Twitter....

Showing your age are we, tish? ROTFLMAO.

FWIW, I hate txt too. But then who am I to complain? Here we are using computers and internet messageboards - just ten or fifteen years ago there were people that just didnt understand why you would want to "message" or "email" someone when you could pick up the phone (preferably one attached to a wall with a cable) and call them!

To the OP:
I was another one that didn't get the best taste joke until you explained it. But that's neither here nor there in my opinion.

I think you should call him. Txt is tricky. So much confusion and misunderstanding. Not getting a reply means nothing. It could mean that he got busy doing something else and forgot because he places little importance on ANY text messages from ANYONE he knows. Then again he may have been hit by lightening. With txt you just don't know.

i think differently about text messaging. even my male friend as of right now i messenger all the time. it's easier then picking up the phone. send your friend a quick simple text that says hey how are you. just checking in to see how you are. if you get no response, don't send another one. a lot of times even like today i sent my friend a IM, and the last one he did not respond to. i'm just like ok, we will talk again on another day. don't get hung up on it.
