What just happened?

Ok,so I met this guy and there was an instant attraction for both of us. I gave him my number and we texted constantly for 2 days, and then he came over on Saturday and spent the whole day with me. He was very affectionate, which made me feel uncomfortable because I had just met him 2 days before. He told me about all the girls that are always hitting on him and how he doesn't feel he is that attractive. Oh,I am 19 and so is he. Anyway,my Mom took him home, because he says his car is in the shop (not sure about that) and he texted me as soon as he got home saying how beautiful I am and how he enjoys time with me. Now 2 days later and he is still texting, but not as quick to answer. He is still telling me he thinks I am awesome,beautiful....He now tells me he is leaving in 1 week to go to baseball tryouts and that he is leaving for baseball, but he is not leaving me--interesting. He comes over the Tuesday before he leaves, and my Mom goes to the store and leaves us alone. He trys to go farther than just kissing, but I won't let him because I don't know him that well. Oh,another thing, I am a virgin and he tells me he is too. Anyway,he gets up and goes in the other room.I am upset because I think he did this because I won't let him go any farther,so I ignore him. When my mom comes home,he tells her he wants to go home because I am ignoring him. My mom asks him,in front of me,if that is what he really wants and he says no,so we go in my room and talk and work it out. The rest of the night was good,we watched a movie, laughed, had a good time.He even apologized. Then he gets a text from a girl named Lauren, who is "just a friend."He texts her the rest of the time he is with me because he says she needs him,and even on the way home. He says he probably won't see me the next day because he has to get ready to leave for baseball. He texts me that night and tells me he had a "phenomenal" time and enjoyed being with me,and that was the last I heard from him. He was supposed to text me the next day,but he never did.Now it has been 2 days. Was he just lying to me about how he felt? He told me sooo many things, and now I'm not sure if they were even true. He said he was renting a car to go to his baseball tryouts, but he is only 19. I don't want to believe that he never meant anything he said to me. What is up?

True.blue's response is good. I agree with her. This guy is coming on strong, trying to say all the right things to "hook" you. His bait works with most women - Building up their self-esteem, showing them that he is "sensitive", saying all the things they want to hear. He's full of BS, he wants to get you into bed and I'm almost certain he's got other women in the pipeline.

I considered that too... Even so, I think the daughter is coming into adulthood and she needs to figure this one out for herself without mom's intervention...

PS: Both posts are clearly written by the same person, the writing style and punctuation are exactly the same.

I agree either the same person or some skills were handed down...she is coming into adult hood....why settle for one guy at this point specially when the guy has all this stuff goin..if indeed he is telling the truth...she should concentrate on school ( college)
