Why hasn't he called me in TWO days?!

We've been together for 4 1/2 years but 1 1/2 year long distance. We often talk every day at least once. He always calls me.

He's in the Army Reserve living in Los Angeles. He has Army Drill (Training) one weekend a month. At the end of the night he gets to go home but since his home is a few hours away fromm his unit he spends the night with some battle buddies he has.

I know his phone is dead. But he can EASILY ASK FOR SOMEONE'S PHONE to call me! I don't know why he is doing this and I'm really angry. I haven't even got to talk to him much for 3 days really. I feel like he forgot about me, he isn't thinking of me!

Perhaps he doesn't want to bother his mates for a phone. He probably figures you'll cope for a couple of days without a call.

Or, perhaps he got busy.

To be honest though, three days really isn't long for a secure, long term relationship. Is there an underlying reason why you have such little faith in his commitment to you?

It has nothing to do with insecurity and trust. I've always had a phone call and it's what I'm used to. Thanks for answering.

Hunny, you said that you feel like he's forgotten you....this is why I put it down to a lack of faith in him. If you had faith, you would KNOW he hasn't forgotten you.

If you put it that way yeah. I just don't know what's so hard about picking up the phone and saying "Hi"

Maybe he was busy. Is there someone you could call just to be sure he's ok?

I used to believe in forever,
but forever was too good to be true.

If you're freaking out this much over two days without a call, have you ever wondered if you're too vested into him?

Like you said, his phone is broken. It's very likely he doesn't want to impose on his buddies by borrowing phones.

Ummm, if he is military, you need to get used to this. My hubby is in Iraq, do you think I get to talk to him everyday? I think you are flipping out over nothing. Breathe.

True. My husband's desk phone is programmed into my phone. I've been calling it on speed dial for years....but I couldn't actually tell you what the number is.
