Don't men wear long sleeves in Summer?

DH still hasn't received his parcel with his dress clothes that was shipped 2 weeks last Monday, from Ks. Grrrr

Took my car in yesterday for it's 1000 mile oil change. As I'd be near the mall DH asked me to p/u some shirts for work. Not dress shirts that need a tie but nice dressy casual ones. Went to Kohl's, Bob's & Filene's (same as Robinson's/May Co. out west). Couldn't find any with long sleeves!!! Only short sleeves, which are fine for hot weather. Haven't shirt manufacturers or stores realized that there's such a thing as air conditioning? Or men want something a little dressier than short sleeves? I was pretty annoyed with my fruitless search.

Looked for shorts for myself, last years are kinda ratty. No nice shorts either, unless I want them to show my assets. I like walking type shorts about 4-6" above my knee. Saw some I liked in a catalogue but too expencive for around the house & gardening, about $80 a pair.

Guess DH & I will have to join that nudist colony. ;-)

Grouchy shopper. Chris

Well, Chris, I recon the pony express otta be a'commun round the corner from Ks. purrty soon!

What a mess. I haven't been shopping for a long time. Did you try a Penneys/Sears type store? I'm not sure when the Spring Summer clothes come in. I know DDIL and I tried to find decorations for Spring/Easter for the shop last week and they weren't out yet. We were in Target. Spring started last week! BUT...I expect the Christmas decorations out next month!!! lol Seems I'm always either way too early or too late! Oh well.

It's windy and warm here today. I work again today. Guess I'll need my super freeze hair spray, or a brush when I get there. Hope you're shopping trips are more successful as summer gets closer. What a bummer. Teresa

Gee, Chris—NO long sleeve semi-dressy shirts? Gosh! Maybe Teresa was right about going to Sears or Penneys!

A couple weeks ago, I took neighbor Dennis and wife shirt shopping, and though he saw lots of long sleeved ones, he couldn't find what he wanted! That was at Target and Fred Meyers. We couldn't tackle Sears—too much "out of the house time" for his wife, so we went to Penneys in the South Center Mall—south of Seattle—and while I sat out in the corridor with Hella, he dashed in and came out with one shirt for $24.95! Not exactly what he wanted, so you might say it was a "desperation" buy! LOL....

It looks like spring clothing is slow to arrive here, too, and we've had Spring practically all winter long—LOL! I never heard of the Robinson's/May Co. stores you mentioned. Must be in a different part of the West, huh?

Sorry DH's clothing parcel hasn't arrived yet! Two weeks is a long time! Better get Teresa to crack a LONGER whip over the horses' heads on that Pony Express! LOL!

As for joining a nudist colony? Oh, my—hope it doesn't really come to that! LOL! HUGGS....

Don't you hate it when you can't find what you want/need? It is frustrating when you know just what you want and can't find it.

Isn't the mail service something else? DH has a check coming from Canada and we were told it was released on March 10. We still don't have it. GRRRRR! I feel your pain.

Pony express would be quicker. That's worrying when a cheque is overdue arriving.

DH didn't insure the parcel either & they were good clothes. Plus the post office where he mailed it from said they can't put a trace on it because it wasn't insured. Sounds like BS to me.

Hugs, Chris

Pony Express is right, every time I have tried to mail something that needs to be there yesterday, it takes ages to get there. If DH didn't insure it, I don't think they will trace it. I have been fighting with this local post office for three years now. I get my outgoing mail mixed with flyers being mailed out....I have had several pkgs. delivered very late and my DD's Christmas check was nearly three weeks getting to her. I don't understand it, and there isn't much you can do except put in a complaint. I just recently tried to mail a baby gift to a friend in England, and couldn't do it at the branch post office in our grocery...had to go to the main post office, had to fill out paperwork on what was in it, etc. and then it cost me $24 to send a pgk that probably didn't weigh 5 pounds! Grrr is right!!!

Come on down here, Chris. You can find long sleeved shirts at stores here still. Especially if you like dressy western styles. Sheplers in Fort Worth should have long sleeved shirts year round. LOL Sometimes they look 'western' only because of the yolk or snap closures instead of buttons. Hey, I try to help! LOL

By the way, if you do need to join a nudist colony (they call themselves naturalists) there is one about 30 miles from where I live. LOL Should I ask them to reserve a bungalow for you and your DH? LOL

The package I sent to our accountant in January (who is only 200 miles from me) still hasn't shown up and I sent it out Priority Mail!! The Post Office says there isn't a thing they can do but they are sure it will turn up. BAH!!
