Hi Ladies,
Coming home from the dentists today I saw 4 rows of bags of mulch sitting at the local Huck's Gas station
That's so funny - I saw the mulch display when we went out for breakfast on Sunday. All I have is melting snow & mud.
I hear your weariness with the kitchen remodel, but you will love it so. We did ours 10 years ago, luckily I was still going to work every day, but cooked on an electric skillet and a microwave.
Sorry to rub it in, but I'm escaping the mid-IL chill heading for FL tomorrow AM - flying out of Bloomington. My DB & DSIL moved near Gainesville, will spend time with them, then fly to AL to visit DSis & DBIL. I sure am going to do some serious layering, leaving early in this cold, then arriving to 60 degree temps.
DH is skipping the trip, staying home to keep an eye on things. We added a new tiger kitty (8 yrs)to the household. Our surviving gray cat was lonesome w/o a buddy - had grown very needy of attention from us. It took less than 48 hours for them to start playing together. Much more normal routines now, but DH wants to monitor the food intake - the new guy is a little chubby. I'm attaching a pix of him on my sewing table - it took him 2 days to find the BEST spot.
My first free motion wall hanging is ready for binding, and I am very happy with it. I did it in the quilt-as-you-go method to get the hang of it. I'm still pretty slow, so definitely won't have a new summer quilt ready this year, but I do have all the fabric I need.
