Hot flashes... Ugh!

Mine have come on with a vengence in the last week. It seems every day, I can set my clock to them showing up.  I'm also finding that I have a bit of brain fog and I'm forgetful.  I've been working out regularly for about 5 months now, alternating between weight machines and 40 minutes of walking, on top of eating 95% organic/vegetarian.  I'm sure my flashes would be far worse if I hadn't made such a change for my new year's resolution (5 months and counting! Yay me! \o/ ), but oh em gee!! I feel like if I don't get out of my clothes in that moment when I can feel the heat rise, I will lose my mind.

Does anyone know of any good relief for this or at least something to help me cope with these flashes?  Thanks.

I'm in the same boat, however my flashes come mostly at night.  They are too severe, but enough to be bothersome. I take EstroNatural (a generic version of Estroven), it's an OTC and have found I am not experiencing hot flashes like I used to.  It's not a stimiluant, rather it's full of vitamins, including Black Cohosh mentioned earlier.

I'm passed hot flashes now, but I took Vitamin E capsules every morning. 400mg a day. It did not stop hot flashes, but it did diminish them somewhat. This doesn't work overnight, but you will eventually notice that they are not as severe or as often as before.

I'm sort of new to the "game" but have found that black cohosh helps my nightsweats, I take three doses per day.  It didn't help immediately but I started having reliable relief after I taken it for a month. Now it's just part of the routine. I need to get better about working out as I am sure that will also help.
